Daily Devotional 31st January 2021: Go Foward

“And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:” Exodus 14:15 KJV

Today, I want to charge you to go forward so that you can access all that God has for you. Never allow whatever problem you are confronted with to stop you from moving on. In order to get God’s best for you in this season, your perspective must change. Understand that as painful, destructive, uncomfortable, confusing, and discouraging as problems are, they also create opportunities. At the other side of every problem, there is an opportunity. However, you can only maximize that opportunity when it has been rightly discerned. So, what is your perspective? Do you see problems or opportunities? Whatever it is that you see will determine whether you come out victorious like God has promised, or as a victim of your circumstance.

God is not restricted! He is doing great and mighty things even now. His plans for your life were never dependent on the current realities in our world today. So, don’t base your life on them. You are a citizen of Heaven and you function based on Heaven’s economy. New dreams, ideas, concepts and innovations are being released at this time, and it will be a shame if you fail to take your own portion. If you are one of those that have been living in the fear of tomorrow and the uncertainties that lie ahead, let me announce to you that God has already gone ahead of you to clear and pave the road

Child of God, don’t be afraid. Your future is guaranteed in Christ and I can tell you without any shadow of a doubt that it is glorious. Therefore, see this season as one of the great opportunities! It is an opportunity to sharpen your sword because there is a great harvest right ahead of you. Don’t get stuck in the past or doing things the way you used to do them. Think and re-imagine new thoughts and processes because new things are unfolding on a daily basis. May God open your eyes to proffer solutions to problems.

See the reason why Yoruba supported Sunday Igboho, but ignored Sowore.

Sunday Ignoho and Sowore are from the same Yoruba region, but one is supporting Nigeria while the other one is supporting independent Yoruba Country.

The fact is that 90% Yoruba no more has interest in Nigeria, and therefore supports anyone who will champion the campaign for Yoruba Nation

Sunday Igboho is doing exactly what the Yoruba wants. I mean the real yoruba people, not politicians.

Meanwhile, Sowore from the same region is in support for Nigeria govt. His support for Nigeria has brought him into so many problems so much that he was imprisoned and beaten up by the same Nigeria Govt.

Yoruba people has ignored Sowore and told him he should face alone whatever that comes his way.

Come to think of Sunday Igboho, despite going against Nigeria Law/Constitution, he still has the supports of his people. Even some Monarchs, traditionalist etc in Yorubaland prayed and supported him. Sunday was able to control crowd both physically and on social media.. It is easy to know peoples choice.

Sunday also has supports from some politicians, none yorubas etc because they knew he was fighting a good fight for his people without minding the consequences.

Now, what lesson have you learnt from this? To me, I think the best support you can have in life starts from your own people.

Daily Devotional 30th January 2021: Exercise your God given authority.

“Now you understand that I have imparted to you all my authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power Satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will be able to harm you as you walk in this authority.” Luke 10:19 (TPT)

If you read these words in your Bible especially if you have a Bible that has annotations, you’ll see that these words are written in red which is an indication that they are direct words of Jesus. Jesus said, “I have given you all my authority so you can trample over the kingdom of darkness and overcome whatever it is the devil brings against you.” He says nothing will be able to harm you as you walk in this authority. Beloved, the only way to withstand the onslaughts of the wicked one is to walk in your authority.

Now think about this! Jesus, the Creator of the heavens and the earth and all things within it, both seen and unseen, has given you His authority. This authority is given for one purpose only: to exercise it whilst you are still on earth. Of what use is all that power and authority if it is not used?

Child of God, now more than ever before, you need to put on the whole armor of God and exercise your God-given authority! Take charge of your mind, your family, your business, your finances, your job, your ministry, your health, your marriage, and every other area of your life where the enemy is attacking! Take back that territory and stop the enemy from running roughshod over your life. Jesus has given you authority, exercise it! It does not matter the raging of the enemy, it does not matter the economic postulations, predictions, or the policies in place; you will soar above them.

As you walk in your authority, you will experience His manifest power in every area of your life. God will perfect you, He will establish you, He will strengthen you and He will settle you. Grace will speak for you in every area of your life.

Security

My family and I now lives in Ilorin Kwara State- The Igangan Seriki Fulani.

The Seriki Fulani of Igangan, Oyo State, Saliu Abdulkadri, has disclosed that he is on a short visit to the north while his family members have settled temporarily in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Abdulkadri and his men moved out of Igangan in the Ibarapa North-West Local Council Development Area of Oyo State on Friday after the expiration of the seven-day eviction notice given to killer herdsmen in the community by Chief Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho.

Seriki fulani Children

Abdulkadri stated that he was received by his kinsmen in Ilorin.

Asked about efforts made to reconcile with the community, he said, “I have not been called for any meeting as we speak. If we are asked to return to Igangan where are we going to live? My house and vehicles had been completely razed.

“But if given opportunity to return to the community I would consider moving back to Igangan.

“When we were sent out of Igangan, we moved to Ilorin in Kwara State. As we speak I am in the north but my children are in Ilorin. I have a building in Ilorin.”

On his message to the people of Igangan, he said, “I don’t have anything to say because I did not offend any member of the community. The hoodlums who are indigenes of Igangan were once arrested and they are still at the Agodi Correctional Facility in Ibadan. Their ringleader is called Janbele; he is with the police now. That is one of the issues that are causing animosity between us and members of the community.”

On the killing of the Dr Fatai Aborode, a prominent farmer and native of Igangan, he said, “On the day when Fatai was killed, the hoodlums held both the Yoruba and Fulani people hostage. They all witnessed as Fatai was pleading and assuring them that he was ready to pay any amount as ransom. His killers were said to have refused to accept his money.”

He explained that the relationship between his family and members of Ile Alagbede, from where the deceased hailed from was very warm and cordial.

“My family family relate well with members of Fatai’s family. They are our friends and we maintained healthy relationship. My daughters usually worked on his farm during harvest time.

… denies involvement in kidnapping

In another development, Abdulkadri said that he and his household had been unfairly treated.

Abdulkadir at a news conference in Ilorin on Thursday denied involvement in kidnapping and other criminal activities in the Oyo community.

He said seven of his kinsmen died, while his property worth over N500m was destroyed in the violence allegedly unleashed by agents of Sunday Adeyemo. aka Igboho.

He said, “My houses, 12 vehicles belonging to myself, my children and some visitors were burnt and seven of my people were killed.”

Confirming that kidnapping and raping were committed in the community, the Seriki Fulani but said both the Yoruba indigenes of the area and the Fulani were culprits.

The Sarikin Fulani said he had always worked with security operatives in fighting the crimes in the area to the knowledge of leaders and elders of the community.

“There was no case of farm destruction reported to me that I will not send people to go and look at the farm that was destroyed. If discovered that it’s true, I will order the Fulani to pay money to the farmers.

He said when a Fulani boy was involved in raping, he investigated matter and handed over the boy to the victim’s family

“I have been living in Igangan for over 50 years without any challenge from anybody either in Igangan or any other places.

He called on the Federal Government to investigate the allegations ensure that the culprits are brought to book.

Daily Devotional 29th January 2021: You have Authority in Christ.

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19 KJV

In the midst of all the crises and uncertainties that the world is faced with right now, you must never forget that you have authority as a child of God. God has not left you without adequately providing for you. He has equipped you with everything necessary, not only to stand against the kingdom of darkness, but overcome them.

However, the problem most of us have as believers is that we are either ignorant of this truth or we are too lazy to exercise our authority. Ephesians 6:10-11 says: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (KJV). This scripture charges us to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. However, it doesn’t just stop there; it also tells us how: by putting on the whole armour of God, so that we can stand against the orchestrations of the devil.

The armour has already been provided but the believer must put it on in order to stand victoriously against the wiles, deceits and the interceptions of the enemy. God is not going to construct or design a separate armour for you; He already provided it. Therefore, your responsibility is to activate it by putting it on.

Whilst God plays His part, we must also play ours as believers. God will not do for you what He has provided you with the ability to do for yourself. He has given His sure Word and God’s Word cannot be broken. So, don’t expect anything less than the fulfillment of God’s promises in your life as you exercise your God-given authority. I pray for you that your eyes will be flooded with light so that you may know all that has been freely given to you through Christ Jesus.

Daily Devotional 28th January 2021: Be a person of vision

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
Proverbs 29:18 KJV

If you must succeed in life, you must be a man of vision. There must be a goal that you are aiming at; otherwise, you will drift around aimlessly and in the final analysis, you’ll get nothing. Always stay focused on your vision without wavering. For instance, where do you want your business or career to get to this year?

Vision will sustain you even when the storms come. Joseph was sustained by the dream he had even in a foreign land. A man of vision is a man of purpose and is unstoppable. Don’t join the company of those who believe that what will be, will be. If you don’t have a clear vision for where you are going, this is the best time to retrace your steps, write one down and you would be glad you did.

Another nugget for success is thinking big. You are only as big as your thought. If you think small, you will be small. But if you think big, you will achieve greatness. The Bible talks about many ordinary people whose feats made them extraordinary. They dared to do the impossible and the God of possibilities made it possible for them. If you do not dream, there is nothing for God to say ‘amen’ to.

Challenges do not mean that you have reached the end of the road. What you call a mountain today can simply be a stepping stone to greater heights. Challenges are part of life. So when they come, don’t be discouraged. Speak to yourself and say: this too shall pass away. Proverbs 24:16 says that “the righteous man falleth seven times and rises again.” Falling repeatedly is allowed as we move along in life. If you are ashamed to fall in life, you will never attempt anything; if you don’t attempt anything, you’ll get nothing in life. Don’t let the fear of failure keep you in bondage. Failure is not a failure because you failed; rather, it is because you refused to get up.

Nigerian Islamic extremist, Michael Adebowale, who killed British soldier is ‘fighting for his life’ after ‘contracting coronavirus in prison’

Nigerian Islamic extremist, Michael Adebowale, who is currently in prison for murdering British soldier, Lee Rigley in 2013, is fighting for life in hospital after ‘contracting coronavirus.

The 29-year-old was reportedly moved from the high-security psychiatric hospital in Crowthorne, Berkshire, to a Covid ward after his condition went ‘rapidly downhill’.

It is the second time in recent days that the killer has been admitted to hospital with the virus, according to the Sun.

A source told the paper: ‘He’s in a very bad way and fighting for every breath.

‘It’s reached the stage where it’s a 24/7 battle. If he deteriorates much further, intensive care would be the next step.’

Adebowale, who is said to have tested positive for Covid two weeks ago, is not on a ventilator but is said to be receiving oxygen treatment.

Michael Adebowale and his accomplice Michael Adebolajo ran down the solider, a father-of-one, with a car before launching a brutal machete attack on him near his barracks in Woolwich, South East London in 2013. The former was given 45 years in jail for his part in the bloody attack while Adebolajo got a whole life term.

The Sun also quoted the mother of Lee Rigby, Lyn, 53, who said it would ‘not be just for Covid to take this man (Adebowale) prematurely and end the sentence handed to him’.

“We’ve maintained true justice for Lee is to see his killers remain behind bars and serve every day of their sentence.”

#Igangan: We have resolved to redeploy 200 members of the Oyo State Western Nigeria Security Network – Seyi Makinde

Following the meeting held with representatives of Igangan, Ibarapaland which was attended by security stakeholders including the recently appointed Commissioner of Police, Oyo State, Mrs. Ngozi Onadeko, our administration has come up with a security strategy for that zone. The strategy includes:

Deployment of Additional Operatives of the Amotekun Corps
We have resolved to redeploy 200 members of the Oyo State Western Nigeria Security Network codenamed Amotekun to kidnapping/banditry hotspots in the state, especially in the Ibarapa and Oke-Ogun zones. These operatives will launch missions to rid the forests of criminals. They will be presenting daily reports of the activities to me in the short run and periodic reports in the long run.

Continuous Dialogue
In the next few weeks, we will hold town hall meetings and community outreaches, bringing together residents and security agencies to talk about any issues of immediate concern and how they can be resolved through dialogue and more effective community policing.

Documentation of Foreigners
As stated in an earlier press conference, we will be proceeding with the documentation of foreigners, especially those who are working in mines. This will ensure that only foreigners who have legitimate interests in Oyo State will remain within our territory.

Enforcement of Existing Laws
We will continue to enforce the Oyo State Open Rearing and Grazing Regulation Law, 2019. This law also regulates the activities of herdsmen in Oyo State. We have directed the Amotekun Corps to continue collaborating with ‘Operation Burst’ and local vigilante groups in enforcing this law. You will recall that in the security meeting of south west governors and other stakeholders two days ago, it was agreed that open grazing be banned in the entire south west zone.

Collaboration with Federal Security Agencies
Our administration will continue to support the police and other federal security agencies posted to the state in the discharge of their duties.

We are aware that some farmers have been killed and/or lost their livelihoods to criminal trespass and damage by pastoralists. And so, the State Executive Council is considering the possibility of compensation payments to families of victims or victims of this criminality who can prove their claims.

We have started the process of prosecuting all suspects arrested for criminal activities in Ibarapa and the Oke-Ogun zones of the state in connection with the ongoing tensions in the area.

Let me thank residents of Oyo State who complied with the directive to remain peaceful, and call on all residents to stay vigilant and always contact the security agencies empowered by law to deal with security issues. We remain resolute in our commitment to protect the lives and properties of residents of our dear state.
