Daily Devotional 8Th of March, 2021: Function From The Palace Of Understanding

“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” Ephesians 1:18 KJV

In Christ, nothing works against you! After Apostle Paul came in contact with Jesus, he “…determined not to know anything …save Jesus Christ and him crucified” (1Corinthians 2:2 KJV). And in 1Corinthians 1:31, he said: ‘’…He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.” In other words, let your celebration be that you are in the Lord.

When you understand the things that God has done for you, your Christian experience will no longer be a struggle. According to Romans 2:4, it is the goodness of God that leads us to repentance; not His judgement and condemnation! It is His goodness that draws you to himself. That is what brings about repentance. Remember that repentance is not just about crying and changing from your sinful ways; repentance is also about changing your mind and agreeing with God. That is true biblical repentance.

When your sacrifice is done with an understanding of His mercy and grace on your behalf, it will affect your response to Him, your lifestyle and your relationships with others. It will teach you how to live a life that is pleasing to Him. When you know that God has been merciful to you, you will not be merciless to others because grace is not free. Grace is not free as some people think. Grace was paid for by the sacrifice of Jesus. Without sacrifice, there is no grace. You are free from condemnation because of the sacrifice of Jesus. By reason of the sacrifice of Jesus, you are entitled to anything good. You ought not to be a failure in life.

Grace stands on your sacrifice! The sacrifice you are willing to make for the sake of Christ reveals how much grace you have received. It also reflects your understanding and the depth of the revelation you have received. Sacrifice becomes worship because you know that the grace of God is always enough.

The take of Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho concerning the order of the Federal Government which implies that any one found with AK47 should be shot dead by Olayomi Koiki

PRESS RELEASE!!!

From left Koiki, Imam, Chief Sunday Igboho and friend

This statement is released by the Spokeman to Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho in person of Mr Olayomi Koiki.

Chief Sunday Adeyemo Speech
My name is Chief Sunday Adeyemo whom everyone knows as Igboho Oosa. Prior to the order of president Mohammadu Buhari concerning those herding their cows with AK47.
We are very happy for the presidential order. If not for the noise we have been making, it is not that the cattle herders just started using AK47 to ranch their cows, kidnapp people and killing them, but we thank God that our Cry is being heard and proven positive.
My very advice goes to the Police, DSS, Nigerian Army, Civil Defence that has received the order from the federal government to kill anyone with AK47. We are happy about it, but I want you all that have received the order to know that Sheu Gumi has shown you all the hide-out of bandits. The president haven’t ordered you to carry this operations our based focusing on one tribe.
The presidential order is not for you to face the Southerners and Easterners alone and start killing people. Very importantly, it is not that you will see our Fathers and brothers heading to their farmlands with double barrel or Single barrel for self protection and then you open fire on them, setting them up with the said gun AK47 making a lie report that you caught them with it. We plead to the Police , DSS, Nigeria Army and all not to do such a deceptive thing. Kindly carry out the operation you have been ordered to do. Sheu Gumi has given you the very location and hide- out of the bandits, that is where we want you to face. Do not carry out your operations while making our people the victim of your operations that when you sight them with their local guns, you shoot them dead and then set them up with AK47.

If such attempt is carried out, it would be a thing of regret. I plead to you not to try such thing.

I am giving out this message on behalf of all Yoruba Sons and daughters in the land and diaspora. I plead again, it shouldn’t be a thing that you will see our Fathers and brothers on their way to their farmlands with their local barrel, or you make a search to their respective houses, then set them up with AK47. The order is not to focus on the Southern and Eastern tribes than the others. Please, do good to carry the orders wisely.

Wife Of The Nigerian President Aisha Buhari breaks silence, laments continued abduction of women, girls

The First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has broken her long silence to express sorrow at the continued abduction of women and girls by insurgents and bandits in the country.

In a message she released to mark the 2021 edition of International Women’s Day on Monday, she said that she is not unaware of the impact the action has on reversing the gains already made on girl child education.

She stated: “Away from COVID-19, women and girls in Nigeria have continued to suffer abductions both in the hands of insurgents and bandits.

“As a mother, I share the sorrow and agony of the victims and their families. I am also not unaware of the impact that these abductions could have in reverting many successes we have hitherto achieved, especially in terms of girl-child education and early marriages.

“I call on all stakeholders to continue to exert their different levels of influence and bring these abductions to an end and to assure us that girls are safe anywhere they may find themselves.”

Mrs. Buhari, who has been out of the country for many months and had not been heard about, observed that the 2021 edition of International Women’s Day offers yet another opportunity for humanity to review and reflect progress made on issues of women and girls.

She observed that this year’s theme: “Women In Leadership: Achieving on Equal Future in a COVID-19 World,” is a strong call to appreciate the efforts of women and girls in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

She noted that COVID-19 has had a huge impact on women, disrupted education and careers, job losses, descent into povert, and proliferation of domestic violence.

The wife of the president added: “Many have also died or suffered due to lack of access to basic information on the pandemic. It is therefore important, not just to continue spreading the message of the COVID-19 protocol, but to also remember and support those who have been affected negatively by the pandemic in one way or another.”

She expressed her best wishes to women all over the world for their resilience, hard work, and commitment to the progress of humanity.

Daily Devotional 7th Of Febuary 2021: You Are Already In The Glory

“Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.’’
Romans 8:30 KJV

You know, at times we try to spiritualize glory. Glory is the heavy weight of God on something to bring about the supernatural. But it is much more than that. In the natural, when a parent gives birth to a child, that baby is small with little fingers. But that is a level of glory.

The child begins to grow and then you take the child to school. Getting enrolled in school is another level of glory. The child goes from primary to secondary and tertiary schools and then to National service. Then he gets a job and begins to climb up the social ladder. He gets married and then he begins to have children. It does not stop there. That is glory! He begins to raise his own family too. Soon, the little baby that was born with little fingers turns 80. Then one day, he will give up the ghost. And then we will put out an obituary and say he has gone to glory. But his journey through life has been from glory to glory.

Beloved, once you have received Christ, you are already in this glory and your life begins to grow from glory to glory. You must never expect any retrogression. There can be a temporary detour at times. But the good news is that the Lord has already told us, ever before they manifested. His Word says: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28 KJV).

Something heavy is coming your way because there is always a progression in the things of God. Look at these scriptures and take note of the progression. “…Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” (Revelation 1:5-6).

Governor Kayode Fayemi Visits The Homes Of Two Farmers Killed On Their Farms

Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi has visited the homes of two farmers, Mr Toyin Akeju and Mr. Yusuf Onuche who were found dead on their farms with gunshot wounds suspected to have been fired by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

Angry residents, comprising youths, women and the aged, chanted war songs, made bonfires and rained curses on the killers of the two farmers just as vehicular and commercial activities were affected for a greater part of Saturday while the protesters blocked major roads in the community.

Yesterday, two of our farmers from Isaba Ekiti, Mr Toyin Akeju known locally as Jisoro and Mr Yusuf Onuche were found dead on the farms with wounds from gun shots suspected to have been fired by Bororo herdsmen. This, understandably, generated a lot of anger in the community.

This morning I visited the families of the deceased in the community. In offering commiserations of the government and all our people, I reassured them that we will get to the bottom of this sad occurrence and bring all the criminals involved to book.

This is one killing too many and we must do all we can to protect all citizens. May the souls of the departed rest in peace. Amen.

Daily Devotional 6th Of March 2021: You Are Standing On Favoured Land

“Therefore, having been justified on the principle of faith, we have peace towards God through our Lord Jesus Christ; by whom we have also access into this favor in which we stand, and we boast in hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:1-2 (Darby Translation)

According to Romans 4:25, Jesus was handed over to die because of our sins and He was raised to life to make us right with God. This is the evidence of our being right with God. Having been made right, we have peace with God through what Jesus Christ has done for us. There is no more quarrel between me and God. God is not mad at me. I am at peace with Him. It is well with me and God. What a joy to know that God so loved me that He gave himself on my behalf.

Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of an underserved privilege where we now stand. Not only that, we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing in His glory. Anywhere you are and if you’re a child of God, you are standing on favored ground. That ground must produce for you. Wherever your location is, you are standing on a favored ground. You are not disadvantaged in any way! You are blessed and highly favored.

Don’t look forward to the coming of Christ with fear. Any message about the rapture that creates fear in you is an error. Any message you hear that tends to tell you to be very fearful so that you will not miss heaven is in error. You are already standing on favored ground. There is no way you will miss heaven. Christ is coming for his own. If you have Christ, He is coming for you. There is no way He will come and leave you behind.

We have been justified by faith! Now we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and we rejoice with confident expectations that one day we will pass on unto glory.

Kogi people aren’t guinea pigs, We won’t take the COVID-19 Governor Yahaya Bello

As Nigeria commenced its vaccination against the lethal coronavirus infection on Friday, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, in a Channels TV program, Sunrise Daily, has said he won’t receive the vaccine even as his colleagues are expected to receive shots of the AstraZeneca/Oxford COVID-19 vaccines in the coming days.

“COVID-19 is not our business in Kogi State. We have more pertinent issues and more pertinent matters that we are attending to in Kogi State. Insecurity we met, we’ve tackled it and several others. Disunity we met on ground and we have united Kogi State today not COVID-19.

“COVID-19 is just a minute aspect of what we are treating or handling in Kogi State…If the Federal Government is gracious enough and give us COVID-19 vaccines, we will equally sensitise our people, people who wish to come and take can come and take but I am not going to subject the people of Kogi State to vaccines or vaccination and I will not make them the guinea pigs,” he said.

Daily Devotional 4Th Of March 2021: What Can I Render.

“So then, my friends, because of God’s great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer”.
Roman 12:1 GNT

Paul’s epistles open our eyes to what Jesus did for us. This revelation determines our response. It is not about what you are doing! It is the revelation of what He did that makes you do what you are doing. It is only from the standpoint of revelation that you can live a life of sacrifice which is worship. It is about what you’re willing to do! You want to do it not because somebody is breathing down your shoulder. No! You do it because you realize and appreciate what He has done for you. So, you want to reciprocate! You are saying, ‘’This God is too good! What can I really do? What should I do?’’

Just like the Psalmist said: “What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?” (Psalm 116:12 KJV). The Psalmist had to sit down, look around and count the benefits. Do you know that some of us take life for granted? Sit down and reflect! Can you really explain how come you are still alive? You slept and in the morning, you woke up. It is not the alarm that woke you up. He woke you up! If you doubt it, go to the mortuary, set off an alarm there and let’s see if the dead will wake up.

Often, the devil shows you the things that you have not achieved and you start to zero in on them but if you sit down and count your blessings, you will be shocked at what the Lord has done. Beloved, it is of his mercy that you are not consumed. It is not because of your skills and intellectual abilities. “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain” (Psalm127:1 KJV).
