“We Need Peaceful And Secured Society,” Orji Kalu Says as He Meets Nnamdi Kanu in DSS.

This afternoon, I visited my brother, Maazi Nnamdi Kanu in DSS custody , Abuja . I met him in good health and care and we discussed as ‘Umunne’. In 2001 when I was Governor, I made his father Eze Israel Okwu Kanu
traditional ruler of Akwara Ukwu and since then the family has been very close to me .

Maxi Nnamdi Kanu

I understand that Nnamdi has an insane amount of people rooting for his back home and I encouraged him to consider the consequences of certain actions and utterances for the sake of the same people.

Even though, my ideology and his ideology are totally different , God has made us brothers and we can’t run away from each other. I owe him and Nigerians good counseling …Whether he and his family listens to me or not, I will continue counseling him as I have always done in the past. What we need most is a peaceful and secured society.

Davido’s N250m gift to orphans: Arewa seeks transparency

Arewa Youths Trust Foundation (AYTF) has urged the committee disbursing the N250 million donated by music act David Adeleke (Davido) to orphanage homes to show integrity and be fair in the distribution.

In a rare humanitarian gesture to mark his 29th birthday, #Davido decided to give the N201 million from his crowdfunding appeal to fans and fellow musicians to charity.

Davido, who, in three days, got N201 million from friends and well-wishers, added N50 million of his own and said he intended to give all the money to the less privileged.

AYTF urged the singer to keep the committee in check and ensure effective distribution, especially in the northern parts of the country where there were large numbers of orphans and vulnerable households.

It said N251 million if shared judiciously, would ameliorate and suppress the plight and suffering of selected orphans across the country.

The chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress, Joe Igbokwe has taken to his official Facebook account to speak about the influence Bola Ahmed Tinubu has in the South West. He recounted the statement made by Comrade Eze Harris Chuma about searching for an Igbo man who can play the role of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the South East.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu is well known for his political influence in Lagos and South West. His influence earned him the “Asiwaju of Lagos” title and some people referred to him as the godfather of Lagos’s politics.

He referred to names like Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, Babatunde Fashola, Rauf Aregbesola, Babatunde Fowler and how they worked for Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He believes Bola Ahmed Tinubu did the needful to command respect and influence in South West. He looks forward to a day, South-East politicians would put their differences aside and work for the common good of the people.

Do you agree with Joe Igbokwe that South East is yet to produce a politician that can play an influential role as Bola Ahmed Tinubu did in South West?

2023: Don’t Vote For PDP, El-Rufai Begs Nigerians

Alleges Shehu Sani & Hunkuyi sabotage development in the state

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has begged the people of Kaduna state not to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the forthcoming elections billed in 2023.

El-Rufai argued that if voted PDP would drag Nigeria to the problems of yesterday.

He said the people should rally round and vote for the person he would anoint as the state Governor in 2023. The outspoken Governor advised the Kaduna people to trust him in his choice for them.

He alleged that if not for the recalcitrant attitude of former Senators Shehu Sani and Suleiman Hunkuyi, development in Kaduna state would have surpassed the feat achieved by his administration which Kaduna people are now celebrating.

He singled out the just completed ultra modern Kawo bridge, saying credit should not be given to him alone but also to the lawmakers who assured the project had legislative backing ,and also to the people of Kaduna State who supported his administration.

According to him, Shehu Sani and Suleiman Hunkuyi’s action had retarded growth and development in the state ,pointing out that come 2023 ,people should be wary of who they vote to avoid bringing in elements that are enemies of Kaduna state who should be cursed.

” May Almighty Allah ‘s wrath befall them ,” El-Rufai prayed, amidst a thunderous Amen in the Ahmadu Bello Stadium’ Gymnasium Hall where hundreds of people had converged for the launching of the New Finance Function in the state.
