Daily Devotional 24th Of February 2021- Don’t Stay In Ignorant.

“An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.” Proverbs 11:9 KJV
Knowledge is very vital to your walking in the success that has been made available to you. So with all your heart, seek to know God and your life shall be transformed. Remember that it is the truth that you know that ultimately sets you free.

It is a shame for any believer to have his or her life manipulated and limited by the enemy. It is not part of the redemption plan of God for you. You were raised up by God and made to sit with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. However, if you do not know your rights and privileges, you will operate in the low lands. But as you read and meditate on the Word of God, your eyes will be enlightened and you will take all that rightfully belongs to you. Then, you will become all that Christ had laboured for. Through knowledge shall the just be delivered!

What do you do when a postman comes to your house with a parcel that is not yours? You return it if it does not have your name and address. So, when the devil comes with his parcel, tell him to pass. It’s not yours! Parcels of sickness, poverty, frustration, fear, intimidation, defeat, failure, and pains are not for you as a child of God. Until you know your rights and privileges, you will remain a cheap victim in the hands of the devil. But that is not the plan of God for you.

The devil celebrates in his domain when he finds a believer that is unaware of his rights and privileges. You can still be ignorant while attending church services if you fail to give due attention and practice what is being taught. It is those who continue in the Word as hearers and doers that get to know the truth; they are delivered from ignorance. Arise and be a doer of the Word of God. When you do, the enemy will not cheat you out of your inheritance.

Daily Devotional 23rd February 2021: Ask, Seek and Knock

BIBLE READING: MATTHEW 7: 7-11 (NIV)

  1. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
  2. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
  3. “Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?
  4. Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?
  5. If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! MESSAGE:
God loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son to save us from our sins. “Therefore, He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, How shall He not with Him freely give us all things.” (Rom. 8:32). God’s love for us is unfathomable. If evil men can give good things to their children, how much more shall our Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask Him?

The point is giving good things. Therefore, if what you are asking is not of God, He will not give it.

The promises of God are yea and Amen. He has promised He will never fail. Delay is not denial. The reason we do not get what we ask may not be far-fetched. Some things we ask for must be sought after. Seeking is stronger than mere asking. You seek for things that are not easily attainable, that are lost or can’t be found. Knocking is a greater level of receiving from God. If the door is not open to you, it shows dispproval and you may not receive what you are asking for. When doors are shut on people, access will be difficult. It is true that before we ask, God already knows our needs; He still wants us to ask, to show commitment, so that it wil not be like the proverbial ‘casting of pearls to swine.’ Ask, seek and knock today!

PRAYER:
Oh Lord, grant us open heavens in Jesus Name. Amen.

Daily Fountain Quote of the Day

“Through You we will push down our enemies; through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us. For I will not trust in my bow, nor shall my sword save me. But You have saved us from our enemies, and have put to shame those who hated us. In God we boast all day long, and praise Your name forever.” (Psalm 44:5)

Daily Devotional Febuary 21th 2021: The Gift Of Grace.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)
Grace is a teacher and it will not just teach but also empower you to do things. Sometimes people misunderstand what grace is all about. It is God that gave grace for salvation. The grace of God always empowers the believer to live for God; it is not a license to live a life of sin. No! If you are living a life of sin and saying that “after all it’s by grace that we are saved.” Then we may even question whether you are saved at all because in the Bible, all those who experienced and encountered the Grace of God had their lives changed.

In John Chapter 4, grace reached out to that woman of Samaria. The woman wondered why Jesus, a Jew, should be asking her, a Samaritan for water that she did not qualify for. Eventually Grace reached out to her and after encountering Grace, she immediately went back to the city and told them to come and see a man- a real man who had told her everything about her life. All the men in the city took advantage of her but Jesus redefined her, gave her focus and put her on the pathway to destiny. She received grace and her life was changed completely.

In John Chapter 8, Jesus spoke for the woman caught in adultery and when He lifted up His head, all her accusers were gone. Then Jesus asked her “where are your accusers?” She answered that they were all gone! Jesus said, “neither do I condemn you.” She received a gift of no condemnation. Then He said, “now that you have received this gift, go and sin no more.” You can go because this is a gift of grace that has already come upon your life. So, go and live a life free of sin and love God with all your heart. May the Grace of God speak for you in every area of your life.

Daily Devotional 20th February 2021: Worry Is A Killer

BIBLE READING: MATTHEW 6: 25-34

  1. “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
  2. Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
  3. Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
  4. “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labour or spin.
  5. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these.
  6. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
  7. So do not worry, saying,What shall we eat?' orWhat shall we drink?’ or`What shall we wear?’
  8. For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
  9. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
  10. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. MESSAGE:
The average man has a lot of issues facing him daily: From his immediate and extended families, church, work-place, daily events, etc. Each of these attracts his attention and requires his time, energy and resources. Therefore the tendency to worry is natural. However the Lord Jesus said, “Take no thought for tomorrow (v.34). He said we should not worry about mundane things of life like food and clothing. God who cares for the lilies and beautifies the grasses which can be cut down at will, cares for us.

“For your Father knows the things you need of before you ask Him” (Matt. 6:8). God cares! What are you worrying about? The Corona virus was ravaging the world and putting everyone into fear and confusion as this was being written. Cast your cares upon the Lord, He cares for you. Reflect on the Word of God. Sing spiritual songs. These and others are food for the soul and mind. Philippians 4:8 enjoins us on what to meditate on: Things that are noble, just, pure, lovely and of good report. By worrying, you cannot add a single hair to your head. Jesus asked us to seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and all these things we worry about shall be added to us (Matt. 6:33). Can you trust Christ enough with your problems?

PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, please help me to seek first the kingdom of heaven so that my worries will vanish.

Daily Devotional Febuary 19th 2021: Grow Up.

“Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law.” Galatians 4:3-4 KJV
We are in times of uncertainty. Evil is increasing and the best security apparatus can no longer guarantee man’s safety. A global health pandemic has left the world confused. Many things are happening and the hearts of many are failing them. But in the midst of these, it is time to stay focused on the fact that you belong to an unshakeable kingdom. We are no longer under bondage. Jesus has paid the supreme price and today we have absolute liberty in Him. However, you can only exercise this freedom and take all that belongs to you if you grow up.

“Now I say, that the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all” (Galatians 4:1 KJV). This scripture means that the blessing- the healing, breakthrough, etc are yours but you can’t touch it. You can’t access it. You are not yet qualified and ready.
Apostle Paul declares in 1 Corinthians 13:11: “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things” (KJV). Beloved, you cannot access all that God has in store for you if you do not throw away childish things.

Maturity is not a function of age. Maturity is more than that. It is time you make up your mind not to think, ask and behave like a child anymore. Put off your childish ways. Put off the old man and his nature, embrace the new man after Christ and allow the Holy Spirit a free course in your life. It is time for you to assume a new unshakable level of commitment to the course and person of Christ. Take a decision today to arise and be all that the Lord has ordained for you to be.

Daily Devotional 18th Febuary 2021: Live Your Life To The Fullest.

“For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; and I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts.” Haggai 2:6-7 (KJV)
Today, it is no longer news that the world is in a cup of trembling. Everywhere you turn, you are confronted with so much hopelessness. The world is truly looking for answers. Science and the technocrats have failed. The health system is overwhelmed. The economic predictions have fallen to the ground and many are in utter confusion seeking for answers. However, this is the opportunity for the believer to shine brighter in a world that is getting darker. This is the finest hour for the church!
The book of Ephesians 3:10 declares: “To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.” It is God’s intention that in the midst of all the confusion we see around us today, the church would manifest the many-sided wisdom of God and arise in glory.

Beloved, if God is today shaking all that can be shaken around us, what is that saying to you? I believe without any shadow of doubt in my heart that God is positioning you to show others the way. When men are confused and don’t know where to turn to, they have no choice but to turn to the church for answers. That is why believers must be solution providers to our world.

When the world turns to you, they must find answer. You have what it takes. So, take advantage of who you are in Christ Jesus because the world is looking up to you. Darkness as black as night will cover all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord will shine over you. All nations will come to your light. Mighty kings will come to see your radiance.

Daily Devotional 17th Of Febuary 2021: Live Your Life To The Fullest.

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.” Isaiah 60:1 (KJV)
Today, I’ve come to challenge you to wake up and arise from every form of limitation so that you can live your life to the fullest; move out of your comfort zone. Every human being on the face of this earth has a potential. There is a talent that you have. There is something that makes you unique and if that unique quality can be submitted in the hands of God, it will be a tool in God’s hands to impact your world.

My question today is: what has God placed in your life? What talent do you have? This is the time to bless your generation with your gift: “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speaks, let him speak as the oracle of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion forever and ever. Amen” (1 Peter 4:10-11 KJV).
Esther followed Modecai’s advice whole-heartedly. And in the end, she attained a glorious position. To maximize your potential and live your life to the fullest, you must be accountable. There must be someone who can speak into your life- a spiritual covering over your life. Modecai instructed Esther and she obeyed. Today, her story is being read all over the world. Who is speaking into your life? You are not ordinary, but you need to be guided. Remember Paul and Timothy in the Bible? Timothy was able to fulfill purpose because there was a Paul to guide him and speak into His life.

Beloved, irrespective of what is happening around you, understand that you are not ordinary. You are called for a purpose and it is my prayer that you will fulfill this purpose and arrive at God’s ordained destiny. The devil will not cut you short.

Daily Devotional 16th of February 2021: The Conspiracy Against The church

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18 (KJV)

There is a major spiritual conspiracy to intimidate and box the church into a corner. You cannot dismantle the existing evil around us if your voice is silenced. The plan of the enemy is to have your mouth closed. The sons of the wicked are trying to tell you that it’s no more important to serve God. Child of God, you don’t want to come to a point where you are no longer able to talk. I wonder how you want to survive if you are now ashamed of your God. That’s what they want to do- to intimidate you. They want you to hide in the closet and hinder you. They don’t even want you to talk about this God.

What the Church carries is so important; it’s the only weapon that can destroy systems without carrying guns and the devil does not like it. One of the wrong messages from social media that is eroding the minds of church people is that the church is no longer important. They say you can do church in the house via your devices and pay offering through the media. This is a terrible lie from the pit of hell! The Bible encourages us not to forsake the assembly of ourselves together.

Something was trending in our nation recently: the issue about telling Christians to stop paying their tithes because preachers are taking their money. The fact that there are few charlatans around does not change the Bible. They are trying to silence preachers to the extent that when you are taking offerings, you are apologizing. It is a master strategy from Satan’s pit of hell so that the gospel can be silenced. They tell you not to obey the scriptures. Unfortunately, people who have been in church where the truths are being taught and who have been blessed by the Word of God are those that are trending this mess. Don’t listen to them!

Daily Devotional 15th February 2021 Reconciliation.

BIBLE READING: MATTHEW 5: 21-26

  1. ” You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’
  2. “But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.
  3. “Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,
  4. “leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
  5. “Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.
  6. “Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny. MESSAGE:
While teaching on reconciliation, Jesus stated that when someone brings his gift (offerings, tithe, etc.), to the altar and remembers that his brother has something against him, he should leave the gift there and go reconcile with his brother first. Thereafter, he should return and offer his gift. Jesus also taught that to avoid judgment, one should reconcile with an accuser while still on the way to the law court.

It is easier to quarrel than to reconcile because human ego plays as negative role. One starts to consider who the guilty party was. One starts to struggle within one who should first say sorry. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. He desires His children to always make peace even if they are wronged. Joseph showed that to his brothers. Despite the great offence to him in their selling him to slavery, he still forgave and reconciled with them. Even when his brothers entertained fear that Joseph would retaliate after the death of their father, he re-assured them of his total forgiveness. Who do you feel has offended you? Please take the advice of Jesus today – drop your gift at the altar and go and reconcile with that person. Then, you will be the child of your heavenly father (Matt. 6:45a).

PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, may You give me the spirit of reconciling with those I have offended or who have offended me.
