Friends of the late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, have alleged that the musician died from domestic violence and not throat cancer as widely claimed.
Some of her friends said the cause of her death was a kick in the chest by her husband, Peter Nwachukwu — an injury which placed the victim on five days of life support before she passed away.
According to gospel artiste, Gold Martins, who shared screenshots of those who knew the singer verifying the domestic violence story, claimed that the victim personally confided in a mutual friend, explaining her experience and inability to leave.
Gold quoted the singer as saying, “If not for the church and what people will say, I would have left this marriage.”
One of the friends said the singer told her of how the husband would tie her up and ask the children to “beat her up with a cane. She told me this.”

Alloy Ejimakor reaffirmed that he is still part and parcel of his legal team, giving strict warning to his supporters to stop using a discouraging statement against him.
Mr. Fein in his statement which he made through his Twitter official handle, told the world leaders that the agitation has been transferred to the younger generation through the unceasing awareness earlier created by IPOB leader MAZI NNAMDI KANU.
He also told the Fulani led Nigerian government that their illegal actions against Biafran are being closely monitored and the world will pay them back in their own coin in due time. According to Fein:
Let the word go forth, from this time and place, that the torch of Biafra independence has been passed to a new generation led by Nnamdi Kanu, steeled by the 1967-70 genocide with an invincible spirit and unwearied resolve. The Fulani-Quisling Nigerian tyranny is on notice.
A Northern Muslim who is also a human right activist, Alhaji Shehu Galadimma has noted that Allah is not happy with Nigeria over the illegal detention of IPOB Leader, MAZI NNAMDI KANU.

Galadimma tweeted:
“Release that young man from the east now,to avoid what took place in Egypt to repeat in Nigeria ! I have seen handwriting on the wall , Allah is not happy with Nigerian govt for holding his own. The anger of Allah is on people of Nigeria for holding Mazi Nnamdi Kanu”

The Nigeria Immigration Service on Tuesday in Abuja reacted to a global ranking that placed the Nigerian passport 98th out of 199 countries; below other African states such as Malawi, Niger, Chad, Zimbabwe, Uganda and The Gambia.
It said although it welcomed the ranking, it is more concerned with Nigerian passport’s compliance with the global standards of the International Civil Aviation Organisation.
According to details obtained from Henley and Partners, a London-based global citizenship and residence advisory firm, the passport index published quarterly is based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association, which maintains the world’s largest database of travel information.
Power Generation Companies (Gencos) under the Association of Power Generation Companies (APGC) on Sunday, said that the power supply situation in the country was worsening because they were owed over N1.6 trillion since 2013.
APGC’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Joy Ogaji, in a briefing in Abuja, argued that a situation where the energy dispatched by the power generators was used as an index for power generation capacity was detrimental to their survival.
In the past couple of weeks, the already bad power supply situation in the country had worsened as players in the sector continued to trade blames as to whose table the buck stops.
“We are currently owed N1.644 trillion. One of the reasons that the power plants are down is due to inefficient management of the grid,” Ogaji said.
According to her, the Gencos have exhausted all their borrowing sources, as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had reportedly warned the banks to desist from lending money to them.
She stated, “If you give us gas, provide forex to carry out maintenance. I have told you most of the units are down and they need money to fix them.
“Give us enough money to pay our gas suppliers because it is pre-payment. But for power, it is take and pay later. There is no way that this misalignment will help us.”
A former Nigerian minister, Musa Kazaure, has said that many politicians and those who have held public offices including governors, ex-governors, presidents and ex-presidents should be jailed. Kazaure who served as the minister of works said the manner in which some politicians serve the country is horrible. Daily Trust reports that Kazaure lamented that since Nigerian regained its democracy in 1999, politicians have continued to sabotage the nation. His words: “Even me talking to you, what we did to Nigeria, we deserve to be jailed.” Noting that Nigerian politicians have failed the people and the country, Kazaure condemned the level of stealing done in Nigeria. According to him, politicians and public office holders across Nigeria are involved in stealing funds on quite a high scale. Kazaure who served as Nigeria’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia said it is unfortunate that with all the available human and material resources the country is blessed with, not one sector of the economy can be said to be succeeding. Also decrying the challenges faced by citizens due to the actions and roles played by the politicians, the former minister leaders have the opportunity to make a change but those in Nigeria have ceased to take such chances. Kazaure added: “I used to say, I, Ibrahim Musa Kazaure, we have cheated Nigeria and her poor masses. To tell you the truth, we are all the same. What we did during our time wasn’t what we should have done because some of us got the opportunity and some didn’t. “Not (just) this government, all of us have done nothing. If we have done something, Nigeria wouldn’t be the way it is today because we have the money and manpower but see what these small countries have turned to. They have become tourist sites to Nigerians. It’s shameful.”
