A Nigerian Lady by Ife Durosinmi Etti took to social media to shared her experience on how she survived Covid Covid-19.
Here is what she posted!
If I had 10,000 tongues, it still wouldn’t be enough, Na re ke Le mooooo! Last week, someone sent me a message and said, Ife, you’re the ‘E’ in extra and I love it😂😂.. I’ve accepted the title.
June tested my existence. From the first day to the end! Everyday was a horror movie. On the first of June, I woke up in soooo much pain! It started with headaches first, then body pains. I went into the hospital and I was diagnosed of a bacterial infection.
I wasn’t surprised with the result because someone who was also with me had also tested for bacterial infection in a totally different hospital, so I just took the meds they gave me and went home. Later that evening, my head was pounding like a machine. My body felt like someone was using a hammer to hit it all over. My temperature was extremely high, the pain all over was UNBEARABLE! I went back into the hospital at midnight, this time, I was admitted.
They gave me more pain meds through IV… NOTHING WORKED. I was restless, in pain, I begged for sleeping pills so I could forget the pain. Obviously, they didn’t give me. I was wide awake all night.
The next day… I was discharged with a new set of meds. All they gave me didn’t work. I decided to chest it. I went back on Friday and Saturday to complain that I wasn’t getting better… at this point, I couldn’t really talk again. It felt like I had 3 safety pins in my throat and the inner part of my neck was sewn together. I couldn’t talk..nothing.
Then a doctor randomly said I should just try to get tested for COVID since nothing was working, she then gave me a number to one of the centers on the island. I called them, till date, they didn’t get back to me.
I then decided to take matters into my own hands.. I had an AGS Tribe members husband who was a doctor, I called him immediately to tell him I wanted to get tested, unfortunately, he wasn’t on land, so he couldn’t test me… then one of my egbons sent a doctor to my house that night… I got tested with the Rapid Antigen test and I was POSITIVE! My life flashed before my eyes…

Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has disagreed with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC’s) claim that the late Kogi State Chief Judge, Justice Nasir Ajanah died of COVID-19, declaring that the legal luminary died naturally.
The governor while speaking at the 3 days prayers for the repose of the soul of late Ajanah yesterday also called on the people of the state not to give in to fear, saying that COVID-19 was an importation into the country and forced on the people.
The governor described the disease as worse than banditry, Boko Haram and genocide put together, adding that it was artificial but unfortunately sold to Nigerians.
He advised citizens not to give in to fear and evil of COVID-19 adding that “it is a diseases that has been imported, propagated and forced on the people for no just cause.”
He pointed out that nothing kills faster than fear, urging the people not to accept “cut and paste, as COVID-19 is only out to create fear, panic, orchestrated to reduce and shorten the lifespan of the people.”
“Whether medical experts and scientist believe it or not, COVID-19 is out to shorten the lifestyle of the people, it is a disease propagated by force for Nigerians to accept”, he added.
He declares: “I cannot in any case dirty my Nobel Peace Prize for money, we had been ordered to declare any illness to be coranavirus and any death.
In addition, the thing that displeased me is that, after more than 100 samples none came out positive. I have a career to protect and I am Congolese by blood. Getting rich by lying is a sin before God, I quit.”
There is an adage that says he who brings Kolanut bring life.
Today, we are going to be discussing the significance of kola-nut (Evwe) in Urhobo land.
In Urhobo land, Kola-nut (together with alligator pepper and bitter kola are optional) symbolizes plenty, and good auspices among the Urhobo people, breaking of Kola nut is a crucial aspect of the rite of welcome and the ritual which precedes community and clan meeting and establishes a symbol of trust, peace and feeling of communality.
In Urhobo land, there is no traditional meeting or gathering without the presence of kola-nut.
Kola-nut does not sit by the side of a gathering. It must be at the center of the gathering and in some cases, on the table before the eldest man in the gathering. It must be the center of attraction.
Kola-nuts are used in all our ceremonies such at marriage, burial, communal gathering, festivals, etc.
In Urhobo land, there are lots of nuts, ranging from the coconut, walnut, groundnut amongst others. But there is a saying in Urhobo that no matter how big a coconut is, it cannot be used in place of kola-nut in a gathering of the Urhobo people.
There are different kinds kola-nuts base on their part. There are the ones with two part, three parts, four parts and even five or six part.
In a regular gathering in Urhobo land, how many parts a kola has is of no significance except in a marriage setting where the kola with four parts is required to administer prayers for the couple. In the absence of the four parts kola-nut, the one with five parts will be recommended. This is so because, one part of the four parts will be used to make the sealing prayers for the couple, one for the bride’s parents, one for the groom’s parents and one for the oldest man in the gathering.
In Urhobo nation, it is generally believed that all Urhobo men are potential kings or chiefs hence the traditional Urhobo coinage Komo_komo_re_Urhobo_ovie. For this reason, all presented kola-nuts must be supported or wedged with money and drink.
There are two sets of money you drop alongside a plate kola-nut(s). first, you drop money for the eldest man to break the kola and pray. Then, you support the kola-but with more money for the kola-nut not to roll over the plate.
When Kola-nut is offered in a public ceremony be it marriage, burial, festival or other traditional functions, the youngest is required by custom to take the plate (saucer) of kola-nut(s) to the eldest, who receives the plate keeps the money for the breaking of the kola and appoints an emergency treasurer to hold the money used to wedge the kola-nut(s).
He gives order to the youngest to breaks the kola nuts into bits then the eldest shares amongst all present with prayers offered for various blessing. During the sharing of the kola-nuts, the host is the first to be prayed for and given kola-nut before others (sometimes the eldest person of the host home). The eldest man who does the breaking of the kola-nuts comes last. Remember no junior man performs this exercise in the presence of an elder, except he is an Ovie.
Three weeks after Israel reopened the doors to all of its schools, more and more are closing again amid a rise in coronavirus cases among pupils and teachers.
With 347 pupils and teachers testing positive for the virus, 127 schools did not reopen on Sunday, the beginning of the workweek in Israel, according to an Education Ministry statement.
The number of pupils and staff in home quarantine grew from slightly more than 16,000 to almost 17,500 in little more than 12 hours.
Most of the new cases are from Jerusalem, particularly from one high school, the Hebrew Gymnasium, where, as of Sunday, 148 pupils and staff have tested positive.
Also, four more Israeli lawmakers had to go into home quarantine, because they had had contact with an Arab lawmaker, who tested positive last week.
Sami Abu Shehadeh, a member of the Arab Joint List party, in a post on Twitter late on Wednesday, called on all to abide by Health Ministry instructions and warned: “We must all internalise that the battle is not over yet’’.
Israel was quick to impose a stringent lockdown in mid-March, resulting in a relatively mild outbreak of the pandemic in the small Middle Eastern country.
But it was also quick to lift the lockdown.
Schools were reopened on May 17, followed by hotels, swimming pools and restaurants some 10 days later.
Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina has declared that the World Health Organisation (WHO) offered him $20,000,000 to put a little toxin in their remedy for Coronavirus as the Europeans hacked their formulae for the Remedy.
