Easing lockdown is suicidal- Sheik Ahmad Gumi.

Sheik Ahmad Gumi a Popular Islamic cleric has condemned the Nigerian Government over its decision to ease the lockdown imposed on parts of the country.

Sheik stated that it was suicidal and irresponsible for the government to ease the lockdown at a time the nation was still grappling with rising cases of the COVID-19 pandemic.

President Buhari had on April 27 announced a relaxing of the lockdown in Lagos, Ogun, and the FCT beginning from Monday, May 4th.

In a chat with reporters, Gumi, however, said that the Federal government should not have bowed to pressure from Nigerians but be firm in its approach to tackle the ravaging viral disease.

He also noted that the decision to ease the lockdown was because the government is running away from its responsibility, adding that people are locked down in hunger and that the government is not ready to spend on the palliatives.

The cleric said, ”The government is just running away from their responsibility. This is just the truth, people are locked down in hunger and the government is not ready to spend on the palliatives. So they are saying the best thing is let’s release you people, but this is a suicide, it is suicidal, it is suicidal and I’m very sorry to say it is irresponsible.

“Yes, it is because of pressure and hunger, that is it. If not, it is not right to do that. Even in China where they have controlled opening, like the schools they made every child come with a mask, there was serious testing and taking of people’s temperature before coming into the school.

“Can we afford to do that here? We cannot. And what we are afraid of, is if there is community transmission; meaning that it is not only the man to man contact, but it comes into the community and it becomes endemic; then it is going to be seriously fatal and we pray it does not happen.”

Sheikh Gumi added that he was uncomfortable with what’s going on in the country concerning the Coronavirus pandemic.

He said, ”Sincerely, I’m not comfortable and I don’t know the word to use in describing what is happening, either in regards to the government or the people. But let me talk about the government because the government has seen what it should do although it is trying to derail now.

The government is trying to derail because of pressure, but the Nigerian populace is something else too.

“People are behaving like a child you took to the hospital for injection and he is struggling and doing everything possible not to receive the injection. This is how Nigerians are behaving.

“You are trying to do what is good for them, but then they’re resisting. But also you cannot blame them, because they are hungry, left uneducated; they are not well informed.

“Even the clergy or the Mallams are not ready to explain to them the real situation of things. Some of the rejections of the issues stemmed from what they heard from the clergymen. So I don’t blame them. But the government is not doing enough”.

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has slammed the World Health Organization (WHO) for planning to begin a trial of the vaccines being developed to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the Officer in charge, WHO Nigeria and member of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, Dr. Fiona Braka, said this during the daily briefing on Friday in Abuja.

She said Nigeria has expressed interest to join in the trial and efforts are being taken to start the process in the country.

11 Days after Ghana Lifted the Lockdown and Restriction of Movement, the country has recorded over 60% surge in corona virus cases.

President Nana Akufo-Addo who was pressured to lift the restrictions as a result of “Severe Effects in the vulnerable and the poor” is in dilemma on what next to do.

Nigeria’s case is currently doubling after every two week and to be realistic, it suicidal to lift any form of restriction now.
The only challenge is the government not being honest in distributing the palliative to people that need them badly. – Chidi Cali

Covid-19: Nigerians should reject the Satanic Control infectious disease Bill Gate Vaccination-Timi Frank

In a Press Statement released at Abuja by Activist and Former APC Deputy Publicity Secretary, Timi Frank has called on Nigerians to reject the ‘Control Infectious Disease Bill 2020’.

The Activist called the Bill ‘Satanic’. He posit that the Bill is a collaboration between the 9th National Assembly and President Buhari to sell Nigeria to their debtors.

In his words, he said:
“I call on Nigerians to reject the conspiracy between @MBuhari and the Leadership of @nassnigeria to sell Nigeria to their debtors. They’re trying to inject all Nigerians with a Satanic Vaccine. These are part of the conditions given to them for the loans they’ve been collecting.

Nigerians must wake up from their slumber to fight this Satanic collaboration between Buhari and this Anti-people’s 9th Assembly. These guys are only tryin to sell Nigeria while we are still alive. Nigerians should wake up now against this impunity under @MBuhari b4 it’s too late”

Comrade Frank also emphasized that Nigerians really missed the Leadership of Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara during the 8th National Assembly.

“Ofcourse we all saw that the Leadership 8th National Assembly were on top of their game. They did everything to serve Nigerians and Nigeria. That is why the President was against their transparent mantra. They showed how articulate the values of our democracy was more paramount. They are true exemplary. Nigerians still missed everything they stood for.”, Comrade Timi Frank concludes.

Workers day: Health Care workers are the nation supperheroes- Shehu Musa Gabam.

The world is currently in a serious conflict not a conflict of gun battles but a conflict of survival through this deadly disease called Coronavirus that has kept us mute and keep us farwway from our ancestorial homes and Congressional worhsip centres for fear of been infected by this deadly disease. Many Nigerians has been home for over a month but there are few Nigerians working round the clocks having sleepless nights battling this Pandemic all for their fellow Nigerians to live and these are the Nigerian health workers.

Your solidarity is the unstoppable wave that creates a change in any country with our country Nigeria inclusive. You have rule our nation because all Men that live without labour live in solitary and with no dignity and true independence. These health workers are battling this Pandemic at the time most of our hospitals are rotten with no functional equipments and standard structures yet these food soldiers are solidly on ground working round the clock to combat this illmen . There is no sacrifice a nation can be proud of like we are been offer today by these Nigerians who are out to give their lives for others to survive .

My prayers are that this will open a road map for the nation greatness where massive infrastructures will be the country’s leadership priority at all levels as this disease presently left the entire country men and women with no option than to patronise our long abandoned health care system. The reports coming from other states of the federation is not encouraging as the fight against this Pandemic seem to have assume religious and political dimensions with some states Governors are affraid of loosing the support of some religious leaders which in turn make them to play the lives of their people. Nigerian leadership in all ratifications has for decades suffered a serious set back due to lack of trust and confidence of governed on the govenment . Nigerians has had and read many stories that seem to be a mere fictions from those the elected which succeeded in creating a mistrust between the leaders and the followers .

I salutes our workers courageous stand on a number of issues that helped greatly in strengthen our economy for decades . I must sincerely commends the efforts of our health workers for standing with our country during this Pandemic .You are indeed the heroes in this fight and history will never forget your sacrifices in paying a supreme prices of this deadly disease for other Nigerians to survive . We are living witnessed of the confrontation between Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi state and the national centre for disease control (NCDC),the Governor is qouted to have said from his Facebook page which went viral both on print and social media that “We don’t manufacture COVID-19 in Kogi” . This statement alone has further endanger the little trust NCDC was enjoying from Nigerians particularly the ill-infomed on whether or not the COVID-19 is true and not political.

I am calling on the both the federal and states government to as a matter of urgency come with a frame work such as lifetime insurance that will catter for the families of those health workers who lost their lives at the cost of the present health challenges of COVID-19 .

May Almighty Allah in his Mercy continue to protect us all, heal the infected ones and grant those who lost their lives eternal rest Ameen.

Happy workers day.
