“Following the report filed by Mr President’s Media Aides, Mallam Garba Shehu, Femi Adesina and Lauretta Onochie based on the ongoing media propaganda being propelled by the proscribed terrorist group IPOB, the Federal Government has decided to regulate the number of Social Media Pages aimed at bringing bad reputation to the country.
“The Media seminar which was held at the Aso Villa equally avail us with the necessary steps to take in order to bring sanity to our media forum.
“IPOB propagandist has done more harm than good in this country via their daily lies and deceit all over the internet. It was this same IPOB that made twitter delete the speech of Mr President and if such a thing is allowed, Nigeria will automatically become a lawless country.
“I thank the Media Aides of Mr President Mallam Garba Shehu, Femi Adesina and Lauretta Onochie for coming up with such decision and recommendations and we promise to act on it as fast as possible. The Honourable Minister of Communications will be duly communicated to follow it up with all the Social Media Owners operating in Nigeria.
