Former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has felicitated with the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye popularly known as Daddy G.O on his 80th birthday.
In a statement he signed and posted on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday, the former president described the renowned clergy as a gift to Nigeria and a blessing to the entire world.
According to Jonathan, Adeboye’s humility and dedication to the gospel has earned him a place in history, stressing that his charity and other gestures have distinguished him as a man of strong devotion.
The statement reads, “On behalf of my family, I warmly congratulate you on your 80th birthday. You are a gift to our nation and a tremendous blessing to the global Christian Community.

The apex bank said the guideline applies to charges by Banks Other Financial and Non-Financial under its licence or regulation.
The document revealed that the CBN has reduced the charges on some transactions including Standing Order Charge (In-Branch); ATM Maninance Fees; Electronic Fund Transfers and Bulk Payments among others.
In the latest guideline, CBN said Standing Order Charge for intra-bank will be free compared to the N300 in the 2017 guideline.
For Interbank Transfers, the CBN cut the charges to a maximum of N50 per transaction compared to the N300 held in 2017.
Bills Payment (Including Bills Payment through other E-channels) is Negotiable subject to a maximum of N500 per beneficiary payable by sender, a review from the N1,200 or 0.75 per cent for a biller or merchant to pay.
Electronic Funds Transfer has also been reviewed downwards to N10 charge for a transaction below N5000; N26 for transaction of N5001 to N50,000 while transactions above N50,000 will be charged N50.
Withdrawals on other banks’ ATMS have been reduced from N65 to N35 after the third withdrawal within the same month.
The CBN also reduced ATM Bill Payment from N100 to N50. Debit card maintenance charges that were N100/Month have been removed in the new guideline.

The Osoja royal family of Ikeja unanimously agreed that 33-year-old Mr Majekodunmi will occupy the throne as the Olu of Ikeja eight years after Oba Rauf Adeniyi Aremu Matemi passed away.
In a statement by the Osoja royal family, the family confirmed that Mr Majekodunmi would become the next Olu of Ikeja.

The family announced to the public that those picked to ascend the throne had been asked to step aside due to rivalry between Samsonideen Adeleye, Nurudeen Adeleye and Wasiu Adeleye for the past eight years.
“The family wishes to notify the Ikeja Community and the general public that due to long rivalry between their sons – Prince Nurudeen Adeleye and Prince Wasiu Adeleye – who were earlier nominated by the family for the government to decide the more suitable candidate have been asked to step aside,” said the statement.
“This decision was reached after years of waiting and a series of meetings to resolve the differences between these nominees for one of them to assume the role of Olu of Ikeja.”
It added, “Consequently, the family has unanimously withdrawn Prince Nurudeen Adeleye and Prince Wasiu Adeleye in a formal written communication to the Lagos State Government”

A Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo, has advised his male fans to give money to their mothers before giving same to their Female Lovers.
Ekubo made this call in the shared video of himself and his mum as an evidence that her Mother was “eating” his money.

Fausat Balogun, popularly known as Madam Saje, has revealed why she always acts in Yoruba films as the mother of the top actor Odunlade Adekola.
In an interview with City People, Madam Saje said that although they are actors and must portray their positions in such a way as to make it authentic, she enjoys some sort of understanding and relation with Odunlade.
“I act his mother, often in movies, and that is because, we both understand each other a lot, without even talking, I know his next actions in movies. He is my son, and we understand each other a lot. So with him as my son in movies, be rest assured that the interpretation will be perfectly done,” she said.

A 14 year old househelp, Favour Iwuozor, was on 3rd of January 2022, nabbed by men of the Ogun state police command for abducting her boss’s 2 years old son.
On December 31, 2021, it was reported of how the suspect fled with the victim on December 19. Moses Otojareri, the father of the victim who spoke to LIB revealed that the suspect who was employed in the second week in November, fled with his son.
According to Moses, the suspect attended a church service with his wife and their two children. His wife however received a call from one of her customers and she left the suspect and her children in church, instructing Favour to ensure they all return to her shop after the church service. Favour however fled with their son.
In an update on Tuesday morning, January 4th, spokesperson of the Ogun state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspect was arrested following a complaint lodged at Sagamu divisional headquarters by one Victoria Nwafor, who reported that she saw a 14 year old girl on the 22nd of December 2021, with a very sick two year old boy in Yaba Lagos.
She went on to reveal that the little girl was begging for alms under the pretense that the small boy is her younger brother and that their parents died in an accident in December 2020.
Out of compassion, the woman took both of them to her house in Sagamu in order to take care of the little boy’s deteriorating health condition.
But immediately the boy fully recovered, the suspect wanted to single-handedly take the boy to Imo state. This aroused the woman’s suspicion, hence her report.
Upon the report, the Dpo Sagamu division, CSP okiki Agunbiade detailed his detectives to go and bring the girl and the little boy.
On interrogation, the girl confessed that she was a maid to the mother of the little boy, and that she left with the boy since on the 19th of December 2021, with the intention of taking the boy to Amraku Umorsu in Isiala/Mberna local government area of Imo state.

The singer was down with kidney ailment and needed N15million for surgery to rise to his feet again.
The entertainer, who ruled the airwaves with ‘O ti Yanyan’ and many other hit songs and collaborations, was diagnosed with the kidney failure and has been on dialysis for some time.
The versatile entertainer, who hails from Odo-Ayedun in Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State, had called for the kind support of Nigerians to raise the required amount to stay alive.
The singer, however, died on Sunday at the age of 30.
His colleague, Raymond Gbaji, confirmed his death on Sunday.
