Daily Devotional 3rd of February 2021: Stay in Fellowship

“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Acts 2:42 KJV
Beloved, don’t form the habit of staying away from fellowship. Don’t be a fair weather Christian who goes to church anytime he wants or selects the services to attend. You should be a part of all church programs, join different groups and be actively involved in ministry arms. The world out there is a hustle, infested with destructive demons assigned to destroy your life. But when you are in fellowship, you are not alone. Your weakness is strengthened by your brother while his own weakness is strengthened by your own strength. That’s the way it is: “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend” (Proverbs 27:17 KJV).

There is no single individual that has it all together. That is why Paul requested for the prayers of the church in Ephesians 6:19: “Pray for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel” (KJV). Every one of us needs prayer. I need prayers every day. If there is one person the devil will like to kill, it is me. But because there are prayer coverings all over, he is not able to come near me. So, I don’t go to bed with my eyes opened. Rather, I sleep because I know the angels of the Lord are encamping round about me. God has given His angels charge concerning you to bear you up in their hands and you will not dash your feet against stones. Evil will never come near you.

One of the greatest strategies of the devil in these last days is to separate you from the bunch and kill you. The devil tries to keep you away and makes you think that you are sufficient in yourself. Before you realize what is happening, you will suddenly find out that you are drowning in the sea of wickedness and no one is there while you are crying for help. That will not be your portion in Jesus name.

Daily Devotional February 2nd 2021: Stay connected to the Lord (Part 2).

“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:”
1 Peter 2:2 (KJV)

One of the foremost things man was instructed to do after he was created by God was to grow. Hence, as we give our lives to Christ as newborn babes, God desires that we start growing by drinking the milk of His word. You are supposed to have a hunger for progress because as you are growing, changes are taking place. Unfortunately, there are some believers who have been in church for a long time but there are no visible changes in their lives. When you take notes in the church do you go back home to read and apply them to your life?

Can you imagine a man of 70 years waking up in the morning and asking for breast milk? You will certainly say something is wrong with him. The scripture says when you should be fathers and teachers when you should have taken the responsibility to develop others as you have been developed, there seems to be a need to still teach you the elementary things of God. Then something is wrong. The strategy of God’s plans and purpose is that those who have been taught should teach those who are coming up. Thus, the pastor will now have time to receive fresh revelations that will develop the people.

Stay connected to the Lord always

You cannot be in the church over the years and you are still being begged to stop complaining and to forgive. If you are like that, you are a baby; “But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil” (Hebrews 5:14 KJV). Strong meat talks about deeper spiritual truth and those who use it are the mature ones. Make up your mind today to discard babyish things and watch God commit more serious issues into your hand. Now, I commend you to God, and to the Word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them, which are sanctified.

Daily Devotional 1st of February 2021: Stay Connected to the Lord

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalms 91:1 KJV

God expects you to grow. To grow means to be balanced, matured and increase by natural development. There is no doubt that we are living in very tough times. Only mature Christians can be tough enough to face the challenges of our days. As a child of God, therefore, it is time for you to brace up and get serious with your Christian experience. Understand that the answer lies with God and every other thing is sinking sand; you can’t depend on them.

If you take a look at the state of the world today, you will see the degradation and evil in the land. What God is saying is that the church should take her place as the light of the world and the salt of the earth- that is who you are. You don’t have to be begged to live for God. You shouldn’t be coaxed or forced to be a Christian or to represent the kingdom. It is getting clearer and clearer by the day that there is no hiding place except in the Cross. No wonder, a songwriter wrote: “On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand. Our hope is built on nothing else than Jesus blood and righteousness”.

I feel sorry for those who don’t have a relationship with the Father because I don’t know how they are going to survive without a solid relationship with Jesus Christ. How will you make it through life in these times of uncertainties? The roads are not safe. The shopping malls are not safe. Every time we hear news of disaster in various nations of the world. But if you are well connected to Him, you are safe, secure and you will find rest in the shadow of His wings. You will find peace and satisfaction in Him. I challenge you to push back all forms of distractions today and take your safe place under the shadow of His wings. Surely, it is well with you.

Daily Devotional 31st January 2021: Go Foward

“And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:” Exodus 14:15 KJV

Today, I want to charge you to go forward so that you can access all that God has for you. Never allow whatever problem you are confronted with to stop you from moving on. In order to get God’s best for you in this season, your perspective must change. Understand that as painful, destructive, uncomfortable, confusing, and discouraging as problems are, they also create opportunities. At the other side of every problem, there is an opportunity. However, you can only maximize that opportunity when it has been rightly discerned. So, what is your perspective? Do you see problems or opportunities? Whatever it is that you see will determine whether you come out victorious like God has promised, or as a victim of your circumstance.

God is not restricted! He is doing great and mighty things even now. His plans for your life were never dependent on the current realities in our world today. So, don’t base your life on them. You are a citizen of Heaven and you function based on Heaven’s economy. New dreams, ideas, concepts and innovations are being released at this time, and it will be a shame if you fail to take your own portion. If you are one of those that have been living in the fear of tomorrow and the uncertainties that lie ahead, let me announce to you that God has already gone ahead of you to clear and pave the road

Child of God, don’t be afraid. Your future is guaranteed in Christ and I can tell you without any shadow of a doubt that it is glorious. Therefore, see this season as one of the great opportunities! It is an opportunity to sharpen your sword because there is a great harvest right ahead of you. Don’t get stuck in the past or doing things the way you used to do them. Think and re-imagine new thoughts and processes because new things are unfolding on a daily basis. May God open your eyes to proffer solutions to problems.

Daily Devotional 30th January 2021: Exercise your God given authority.

“Now you understand that I have imparted to you all my authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power Satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will be able to harm you as you walk in this authority.” Luke 10:19 (TPT)

If you read these words in your Bible especially if you have a Bible that has annotations, you’ll see that these words are written in red which is an indication that they are direct words of Jesus. Jesus said, “I have given you all my authority so you can trample over the kingdom of darkness and overcome whatever it is the devil brings against you.” He says nothing will be able to harm you as you walk in this authority. Beloved, the only way to withstand the onslaughts of the wicked one is to walk in your authority.

Now think about this! Jesus, the Creator of the heavens and the earth and all things within it, both seen and unseen, has given you His authority. This authority is given for one purpose only: to exercise it whilst you are still on earth. Of what use is all that power and authority if it is not used?

Child of God, now more than ever before, you need to put on the whole armor of God and exercise your God-given authority! Take charge of your mind, your family, your business, your finances, your job, your ministry, your health, your marriage, and every other area of your life where the enemy is attacking! Take back that territory and stop the enemy from running roughshod over your life. Jesus has given you authority, exercise it! It does not matter the raging of the enemy, it does not matter the economic postulations, predictions, or the policies in place; you will soar above them.

As you walk in your authority, you will experience His manifest power in every area of your life. God will perfect you, He will establish you, He will strengthen you and He will settle you. Grace will speak for you in every area of your life.

Daily Devotional 29th January 2021: You have Authority in Christ.

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19 KJV

In the midst of all the crises and uncertainties that the world is faced with right now, you must never forget that you have authority as a child of God. God has not left you without adequately providing for you. He has equipped you with everything necessary, not only to stand against the kingdom of darkness, but overcome them.

However, the problem most of us have as believers is that we are either ignorant of this truth or we are too lazy to exercise our authority. Ephesians 6:10-11 says: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (KJV). This scripture charges us to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. However, it doesn’t just stop there; it also tells us how: by putting on the whole armour of God, so that we can stand against the orchestrations of the devil.

The armour has already been provided but the believer must put it on in order to stand victoriously against the wiles, deceits and the interceptions of the enemy. God is not going to construct or design a separate armour for you; He already provided it. Therefore, your responsibility is to activate it by putting it on.

Whilst God plays His part, we must also play ours as believers. God will not do for you what He has provided you with the ability to do for yourself. He has given His sure Word and God’s Word cannot be broken. So, don’t expect anything less than the fulfillment of God’s promises in your life as you exercise your God-given authority. I pray for you that your eyes will be flooded with light so that you may know all that has been freely given to you through Christ Jesus.

Daily Devotional 28th January 2021: Be a person of vision

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
Proverbs 29:18 KJV

If you must succeed in life, you must be a man of vision. There must be a goal that you are aiming at; otherwise, you will drift around aimlessly and in the final analysis, you’ll get nothing. Always stay focused on your vision without wavering. For instance, where do you want your business or career to get to this year?

Vision will sustain you even when the storms come. Joseph was sustained by the dream he had even in a foreign land. A man of vision is a man of purpose and is unstoppable. Don’t join the company of those who believe that what will be, will be. If you don’t have a clear vision for where you are going, this is the best time to retrace your steps, write one down and you would be glad you did.

Another nugget for success is thinking big. You are only as big as your thought. If you think small, you will be small. But if you think big, you will achieve greatness. The Bible talks about many ordinary people whose feats made them extraordinary. They dared to do the impossible and the God of possibilities made it possible for them. If you do not dream, there is nothing for God to say ‘amen’ to.

Challenges do not mean that you have reached the end of the road. What you call a mountain today can simply be a stepping stone to greater heights. Challenges are part of life. So when they come, don’t be discouraged. Speak to yourself and say: this too shall pass away. Proverbs 24:16 says that “the righteous man falleth seven times and rises again.” Falling repeatedly is allowed as we move along in life. If you are ashamed to fall in life, you will never attempt anything; if you don’t attempt anything, you’ll get nothing in life. Don’t let the fear of failure keep you in bondage. Failure is not a failure because you failed; rather, it is because you refused to get up.

Daily Devotional 27th of January 2021: The principles of success

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” Genesis 1:3 KJV
Today, it is no longer a secret that opportunities abound in the different sectors of our economy as a nation. However, the irony is that many believers are barely scratching the surface. Rather than harness our God-given potentials and proffer solutions to our world, we would rather sit back and complain, saying that it is not working. For everything you say is not working, just turn around and you will see someone else doing it.
Success does not come by mistake. In Genesis chapter 1, the earth was void and without form but it did not remain like that. God saw the darkness and did not like it; hence, He proffered a solution. He commanded the light to appear and there was light. In like manner, believers are also called to proffer solutions in their world. The Word of God is plastered with templates and principles for us to follow. If we diligently harness these divine principles, we will ultimately succeed.

One of the principles of success is to know that you are unique. So, don’t try to be someone else. You cannot afford to be a copy when you are the original. By virtue of the New Birth, you have been designed to be ahead of others. Being a child of God confers an advantage on you because you now have the mind of Christ. That means you can have insight into what God is doing. You can download divine concepts that the world is still looking for. When you have the mind of Christ, you can proffer a solution that will leave the world wondering.

Take a look at the streets and you will see needs in people’s lives. When you dare to satisfy those needs, people will naturally gravitate towards you. You may be selling roasted plantain and fish, let people see a touch of creativity in what you are doing and pretty soon, you will become the sought after. Remember that the enemy wants you down and out. But I declare that you will win in the competitions of life.

Daily Devotional 26 January: How to enjoy the Blessings.

“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” Proverbs 10:22 KJV

According to the scriptures, you’ve already been blessed with all spiritual blessings. However, the responsibility is now on you to bring the blessings, which are in the heavenly realm, into the physical where you can enjoy them. You can do this first by finding out what the Word of God has to say about your situation. Then go to war with it by personalizing it, meditating and speaking it over your situation

Another way to enjoy the blessings released to you by God is to take the Word of God back to Him in prayers. You need to use the Word of God to nullify the lies of the devil in your life. Pray in the Holy Ghost and pray it without ceasing. Let the devil know that you know your rights. Don’t just pray and declare without acting on the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Remember that as many as are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God.

Learn to lay hold on the Word of God and declare it into your situation. If you are having any health challenge, understand that you may still be seeing symptoms and the devil will attempt to lie to you that you are not healed. Rise up in the place of prayer and speak healing to your body. Speak prosperity to your business. As you learn to speak into your situation, you will ultimately effect a change in that area. Do you trust God for the fruit of the womb? Declare to yourself that you are a joyful mother of children. Go ahead and begin to call the children by name and you will see God come through for you. Whatever your situation is, learn to speak to it and it will surely bow before you.

Finally, you need to remain steadfast on the promises of God. Always give Him thanks knowing that He would do what He has promised. Learn to wait for the manifestation of all that the Lord has promised you.

Daily Devotional 25th January 2021: Be positioned for the blessing

”Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 1:3 KJV

When you take a closer look at this scripture, you will notice that you are already blessed with not ‘some,’ but ALL spiritual blessings. However, it is your responsibility to bring your Heavenly blessings into the physical realm because that is where it is relevant to you. There is no point being sick, broke, feeling frustrated and depressed when your portion is divine health, financial abundance and prosperity of the spirit, soul and body.

In order to enjoy these blessings, the first step is to find out what the Word of God has to say about the situation you are faced with. Are you in need of the fruit of the womb? Are you facing financial challenge? Look through the scriptures and discover what the Bible has to say. The problem is that often, believers are too lazy to find out what God has to say concerning them. Every Word of God is pregnant with the power of God. So, all you need is a Word from God concerning that situation.

After finding the scriptures, do not just fold your hands and expect it to fall on you like a bag of cherries. You must arm yourself with the promise of God and go to war with it. It is a fight of faith. You must consistently impose what God has said over your situation and receive by faith what grace has made available to you. You need to meditate on that word which you have received; let it go beyond the letter to a revelation.

Speak the Word to yourself over and over again. Personalize it! Study that promise and find out if there are conditions to be fulfilled. When you discover the inherent conditions in the promise, go ahead and work on them. Do not ignore the conditions or say it doesn’t matter. Make it a duty to work on it and pretty soon, you will see a manifestation.
