Proverbs 23:22
22:Listen to your father who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.
Loving Father and eternal God, thank you for my parents — physical and/or spiritual. Bless them with what they most need to find their way home to you.
Give me wisdom to know how best to show my love and respect to them. Most of all, Father, please help them to see that my love and character come from you. In Jesus’ name, pray. Amen.
1 John 2:4-6
4: Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him,
5:But whoever keeps his word, in him truly, the love of God is perfected. By this, we may know that we are in him.
6:Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.
Heavenly Father, how wonderful to know that Christ’s example is one that we can all follow – and that if we long to walk as He walked, in dependence on You… only saying and doing those things that are pleasing in Your sight.. we, too, need to abide in Christ so that His life may empower us to bring forth much fruit to Your praise and glory. Amen.
Jeremiah 31:3
3:The LORD appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with everlasting love; therefore, I have continued my faithfulness to you.
God of wisdom and love, I am not worthy to gather the crumbs under Your table and yet in mercy and love You picked me up out of the miry clay and dressed me in the robe of Christ’s righteousness, for Your name’s sake.
I praise You for the unconditional love You pour out on me in unhindered measure because Your eternal character is measureless love.
Thank You, Father, for Your everlasting love for me and thank You that in loving-kindness You drew me to Yourself and made me Your child. In Christ’s name, I pray Amen.
JOEL 2:25
“AND I WILL RESTORE TO YOU THE YEARS THAT THE LOCUST HATH EATEN, THE CANKERWORM, AND THE CATERPILLAR, AND THE PALMER WORM, MY GREAT ARMY WHICH I SENT AMONG YOU.”
Divine restoration is when God in His mercies restores to you in multiple folds all that were taken from you.
It is when God takes the shattered pieces of your life, glue them together with His love, and make them stronger in the places where they were once weak.
It might look as if these promises don’t exist because of all that is going on in the world, but do not be dismayed because God is with you.
As a Spirit-filled child of God, you have the right to command the restoration of all that the enemy has stolen, killed and destroyed in your life. Use the power and authority that God has bestowed on you.
O Lord, restore to us our wasted years this season in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
Proverbs 27:9
27: Oil and perfume make the heart glad, and the sweetness of a friend comes from his earnest counsel.
Loving Father, thank You that in Christ, I have a friend that sticks closer than a brother. Help me to reflect You in all I do so that I show forth the grace of Jesus to all I meet.
May my life be that sweet-smelling savour to others and to You, as I abide in Christ. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
John 2:28
28: And now, little children abide in him so that when he appears, we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming.
Heavenly Father, I am excited for the soon return of Jesus for His Bride. I am looking forward to that day when He comes in the clouds for us to be with Him forever. I pray that when He comes, I will be found abiding in Him.
Lord, I pray that I will be walking in spirit and truth and living a life that honours His holy name. Then, when I stand before His Bema Judgement Seat, I will not be ashamed but will hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant, receive your reward.” In Jesus’ name Amen.
Romans 12:12-13
12: Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and be constant in prayer.
13: Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
Loving Father, thank You for the Word of God and the godly instructions that are laid out for the Church in the epistles of Paul. Please help me to rejoice in hope, endure in tribulation, and persevere in prayer, as I press on to the goal of my calling. In Jesus’ name, I pray Amen.
Proverbs 17:18
18: A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the dear friends that You have brought into my life and for the love and comfort that I have received from them over the years.
I pray that I would develop the many qualities of genuine friendship, and that You would use me to be a friend to others in their times of need. This I ask in Jesus’ name Amen.
Psalms 51:41
41: Against you, you only have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment.
Oh Lord, do not judge me by the measure of my faith. Let the shower of mercy fall on me today in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Teach me, my Father, to look to Jesus each moment of the day for my strength, and not to rely on my own, imperfect, human abilities and intelligence, for without You I can do nothing.
But thanks be to God that as I rest in Christ Jesus, He will empower me through the indwelling Holy Spirit, to carry out Your will for my life.
Father, I confess that without You I can do nothing, but thanks be to God that I can do all things through Christ, Who strengthens me, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to You be praise and glory forever Amen.
