According to report, Ireoluwa was kidnapped yesterday in the afternoon (2pm) around interchange Ogun state. He was coming back from school Redeemers University of Nigeria (RUN), he was dropped there by the school arranged bus, while waiting for his parent to pick him up.

Before they got there in an interval of 10mins, the mother Receive a text message that areads “I have been kidnapped” the situation was immediately reported at the Police Station Owode/Egba division.

Later in the evening yesterday a message was sent to his mother via his own phone, that reads “I will be used for rituals 2morrow”…

The Ogun state police command are doing their best, but this is just a message to everyone and anyone that can assist with this present situation. The last point of tracking location was IKORODU. The victim’s name is IREOLUWA AKINLAJA a 100level Mass Communication student.

Two members of the Ebubeagu militia in Imo State were reportedly captured at the boundary between Izombe and Agwa communities in Oguta local council following a fierce gun battle Sunday.

The Ebubeagu operatives had reportedly positioned themselves on the way from Amakpuruedere Izombe village to Ogborafor Izombe market, trying to prevent the village from participating in the market outing of the yearly Okorosha Izombe festival.

A source confirmed to our correspondent that following an exchange of gunfire between the gunmen and the state militia, which lasted for about two hours, the operatives abandoned three of their vehicles and fled.

According to him, “the operatives of Ebubeagu Security Outfit felt that the event would be an avenue for them to come and arrest the masterminds of Friday’s Agwa Police Station destruction where four policemen were killed and vehicles burnt with explosives, some whom they felt would be there because of the closeness of Izombe to Agwa.

“On getting to the venue of the cultural festival, the Ebubeagu operatives made attempts to disrupt the event which was resisted by the people. Unknown to them, some gunmen who got information about their presence in Izombe rushed down to the boundary between Izombe and Agwa where they laid ambush for them. When they later came down to the boundary after their futile attempt to disrupt the festival, they were confronted by the unknown gunmen who engaged them in a gun duel. This eventually led to the capture of not less than two Ebubeagu operatives by the unknown gunmen, while some scampered for safety”, the eyewitness disclosed.

Gunmen on Friday night invaded the Divisional Police Station at Agwa in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, killing four officers on duty and a commercial motorcyclist, whose wife was also shot and is in critical condition in the hospital.

This is coming on the heels of the Imo State Police Command announcing the killing of a notorious robbery kingpin, Osita Ogbuiri popularly known as ‘Shina Rambo’ from Mmahu in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of the state in the penultimate week.

Ogbuiri, an escapee from the Imo prison, according to a statement by the state police spokesman, Michael Abattam, has also been involved in various criminal activities in the state, including kidnapping.

He said that he was also the leader of a deadly cult group known as ‘De-gbam,’ terrorising the neighborhood of Ohaji/Egbema.

According the police, the notorious criminal was caught after an intelligence report, which led the officers to his hideout with his gang at Utuma/Ukwa, a boundary between Abia and Cross River states, and was later killed in a gun duel when his gang engaged the police.

Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Barde, said that the corpse of the notorious bandit have been deposited at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Owerri, noting that concerted efforts are being made to arrest other members of the gang at large.

Narrating what happened at the Agwa police station, a source from the community who does not want his name on print told Sunday Sun that the incident which happened between 10:00 and 11:00 p.m saw the gunmen who came with three vehicles broke into the premises of the station, shooting sporadically.

“They came in a tipper and two Sienna vehicles, shooting indiscriminately and we all ran into our houses. It was around 10:00 and 11:00p.m. It was this morning that we heard that they were criminals and they attacked the police division, killed four policemen and burnt the vehicles there.”

Another source also said: “I was already inside when I started hearing sounds of gunshots. I didn’t bother coming outside because it was safer to stay indoors than to come outside. It was this morning that we heard that the Agwa Divisional Police headquarters was attacked. Four policemen were killed. Two male officers were shot dead while two female police officers were burnt to death.”

The sources narrated that the gunmen after wreaking havoc at the station went to the house of a commercial motorcyclist and shot him and his wife, but luckily the wife did not die.

One of the officers killed, according to our source, is said to be a new recruit, not more than two weeks on the job.

Confirming the incident in a statement issued yesterday, the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, Abattam, alleged that members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) were responsible for the attack.

He said: “On 05/8/2022 at about 2300 hours, hoodlums suspected to be members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its militia affiliate, Eastern Security Network (ESN) attacked Agwa Police Station in their numbers.

“The hoodlums who came in two vehicles and a tipper, shooting sporadically, used a tipper vehicle in forcing the gate open to gain entrance into the station, throwing Improvised Explosives Devices (IEDS) and petrol bombs.

“The police operatives of the division joined by the Command’s Tactical Teams gave the hoodlums a stiff resistance, engaging them in a gun duel. The hoodlums who were fatally hit with a lot of casualty on their side, retreated, escaping in their vehicles.”

However, he added the fire only affected a parked private car and some motorcycles and was later put off, preventing it from causing more damage.

“Fortunately, the building was not affected. In the attack, two suspects in custody escaped, four police officers gallantly paid the supreme price, while one rifle is yet to be recovered. Meanwhile, the area have been fortified with enough police operatives,” Abattam said.

Late FRANCIS ONUCHUKWU was brutally killed on Friday, when a two-man gang stormed his residence at Ubaha Okporo, Orlu Imo State.

According to the deceased son, Mr Hamilton Onuchukwu, his father lost his life when the assailants rained bullets on him at close range.

He explained further that sometime in the past when security men stormed the community, unlike others who ran away, his father stayed put as an ex-police man. Such stance raised some unfounded suspicions in the area that he was likely an informant.

The entire family, according Hamilton, has been thrown into pains and heartbreak as a result of the gruesome murder of their patriarch.

The police in Niger state have arrested a 40-year-old suspected kidnapper, Bashir Abdullahi.

The suspect was paraded at the police command along with other suspected criminals across the state.

The police Public Relations Officer in the state disclosed that the suspect was arrested in Kontogora local government area of the state while making arrangements with his members to kidnap the former local government Chairman of Mariga local government.

The Police also disclosed that the suspects also arranged to abduct the father of a former commissioner in the state.

During interrogations, the suspect confessed that he planned to abduct the Chairman because he was owing him the sum of 5.8 million naira. He confessed that if he had succeeded he stand to get 10 million naira from him.

The suspected kidnappers also confessed that he brought some members of his gang from Niger Republic and other states to help him carry out his assignments.

THE two sons of Reverend Daniel Umaru of EYN Church identified as Kefrey Daniel (19) and Fanye Daniel have been laid to rest in Adamawa State.

It was reported that gunmen invaded the cleric’s home in Mubi Local Government Area of the State, killed his sons, Kefrey Daniel,19, and Fanye Daniel (Junior) 23, and kidnapped his 13-year-old daughter, Ijagla.

The victims were buried on Friday, July 8, 2022 at EYN Headquarters in Kwarhi Maararba, Hong Local Government Area of the state.

According to a video shared by a staff of Adamawa State University Mubi, Hyello John, the victims’ mother, Rev. (Mrs) Daniel Umoro, said she has forgiven killers of her sons.

“I have forgiven those behind this killings and abduction”. Also, I have accepted the will of God.” she said.

Today being a public holiday, Bishop David Oyedepo organised a prayer meeting to seek God’s intervention over the affairs of the nation. After the prayers, he preached a sermon he titled The Mystery of Vengeance. In that sermon, he made a strong case for why Christians should be angry about the works of evil men in Nigeria, and why we should lift our voices to invoke vengeance and lay curses on them.

He revealed that we are allowed to curse them because the room for repentance is closed for them and none of them will go to heaven. According to him, it is just like the case of Esau; he repented, and sought his father’s blessing with tears, but it was too late.

His basis for making this statement was the statement Jesus made in Matthew 12:31-32 concerning blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. This scripture says;

“Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

“And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.”

Like you saw above, blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is the sin that can never be forgiven, and Bishop Oyedepo interpreted it to mean doing anything to stop the move of the Holy Spirit, or trying to come against the work of the Holy Spirit in the world today.

He explained that when the Holy Spirit came at first, he killed Ananais and Sapphira for telling lies about a property that was originally their own, and that if the Holy Spirit would not forgive them for lying to him, how would he forgive the killers who went to his church and killed the people there?

“If the Holy Ghost refused to forgive Ananais and Sapphira for lying, for a property that was even their own, how will he forgive those people for touching his bride, for the church is the bride of Christ,” he said.

“Among the people they killed was a couple who got married the day before. They cannot escape. Nobody should pray for them. They cannot go to heaven. The room for repentance is closed for them,” he revealed.

Anybody who loves righteousness will naturally be angry at the evil act, but I believe that we are bound to pray for their repentance no matter how dastardly their act is.

For example, do you remember how Saul of Tarsus persecuted the church in the book of Acts? He was the leader of the group that killed Stephen, and he began to go to the house of the Christians, as well as their meeting places, to kill them or arrest them for torture in prisons. What is the difference between what Saul did and what these guys are doing today? He also killed Christians in churches remember?

However, on his way to Damascus to cause more havoc on the body of Christ, he had an encounter with Jesus, and he became Paul the apostle, who wrote majority of the New Testament scriptures!

Imagine if the early Christians were praying for him to die, or declaring that the room for repentance is closed for him. Or even if they were praying for him to die, imagine God answered their prayers and killed him, would he have lived to write all the books that developed Christian theology? Would he have spread the gospel all over Asia and parts of Europe? Would he have become one of the greatest apostles?

I’m just saying we should not jump to conclusions. God can save the worst of the sinners, because Jesus himself died for everybody; the least sinner and the worst of sinner included.

Presiding Bishop, Living Faith Church Worldwide, David Oyedepo has prophesied that the ruling All Progressives Congress will never rule the country again.

According to PM News, the man of God made the proclamation on Wednesday.

He also described Buhari’s government as evil from head to toe.

He said it was now clear that when the wicked rule, the people mourn, saying that he shouted this in 2015.

“I am not a propagandist, I am not a public speaker, I am not an activist, I am a prophet. You blindly went and brought in this wicked government.

“Nigeria has never suffered evil like this in our history and they still want to rule? Never! After over 50 people were slaughtered, there has been no response till now. They are evil from head to toe,” he said.

Oyedepo, in a video posted by Church Gist, added that “I know the God I serve, and I know that the church is His beloved, and you touch the church, you touch the apple of His eyes. Whatever you now see is what you have chosen. But I know this God, let God arise and let his enemies be scattered.

“He will scatter them, this God will scatter them, do you know that there is no response yet? My God, 50 people slaughtered? My God! This government is evil from head to toe. I knew it, I shouted it, this government is evil. Now the jungle is matured, church people, come to church, let no devil scare you.

“Anyone that dared the gathering of the saints from now is finished, finished from their roots. He said every tongue that shall rise against you in judgement, you shall condemn. You mean you can’t find where they are or you put them there?

“My God, show yourself within days, let the next seven days be days of horror, let it be days of horrors in their camp, days of irrecoverable devastation. As for you (Church members), your life is safe, anyone called by the name of the Lord is secured in this nation.

“I am not an ordained prophet, I am a God-sent prophet and you should know by now when prophets speak, people should listen. See where you brought yourself into, I knew they were evil people, I knew them.”

The Leader of the Apex Body for Yoruba Self-Determination and Self-Preservation Movement, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide (IOOW), Professor Banji Akintoye, has described the Sunday morning deadly attack allegedly unleashed against Christian Worshipers at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo-State by Gunmen suspected to be Fulani Herdsmen, leaving about 85 people dead, as a declaration of War Against the Yoruba People.

Responding through the Communications Secretary of IOOW, Mr. Maxwell Adeleye, Akintoye called on the State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, to declare an emergency against the activities of Fulani Herdsmen in the state with immediate effect.

The renowned scholar said the effontery of the Fulani Marauders needs to be frankly and courageously confronted so as to prove to their sponsors that the Yoruba people can never be intimidated or subjugated.

He said to permanently solve the Fulani Herdsmen’s quagmire, the Yoruba People need to negotiate their exit from the Union of Nigeria without further delay.

“We have stated it very expressly that the Yoruba people need to negotiate their exit from Nigeria as a matter of urgency but our Partisan Political Actors in Yoruba Land never took us serious. We warned them that there’s fire on the mountain but we were mocked because of their personal aggrandizement.

“Today, we have all been encircled, most especially, in Lagos. For Herdsmen to have the effontery of bombarding a Church in Yoruba Land to kill about 85 people shows that we are now in a realistic danger.

“My urgent advise to Governor Akeredolu is to pick up the gauntlet and declare an emergency against the activities of all Fulani Herdsmen in the state with immediate effect.

“We have now been taken for granted. We need not pretend anymore. We must demand unanimously, an exit from Nigeria.

“We the Yoruba People cannot live in the same country with characters whose idea of common citizenship in Nigeria is to brutalize, subjugate and even exterminate us. It is time to leave these characters now. All Stakeholders – the Elites, Traditional Rulers, Our Women should act now.

“All the South West States, including the Yoruba Leaders in Kogi and Kwara States should equally declare an emergency against the activities of Fulani Herdsmen. We must now take our destinies into our hands”
