But she immediately boiled water and then poured it on me twice before proceeding to flog me repeatedly before I eventually collapsed”.

Oyo Police Are Supporting The Killers Herders.

Paramount ruler of the Oyo empire, the Alaafin of Oyo; Oba Lamidi Adeyemi has chided the Oyo State Police Command, accusing them of subtly supporting Killer Fulani herders to injure, maim, kidnap, and kill the people of Igangan and other areas in Oyo State.

Oba Adeyemi shared his thoughts about the complicity of the Nigeria Police force in a Sunday statement where he reacted to the recent attack on the residents of Igangan community, in the Ibarapa North area of Oyo state.

The first-class monarch, in reaction to the sudden and gruesome massacre at Igangan yesterday, hinted that the police were supporting the killings by failing to prosecute suspects handed over to them and also releasing such suspects back into society.

In his words, “The wanton destruction of life and property, including the palace of the Asigangan of Igangan, is quite sad.”

“Despite all efforts made at curtailing this ugly menace long before it starts staring us in the face, several Fulanis have been arrested and handed over to the police in Oyo State. Twitter Spares Nnamdi Kanu But Deletes Buhari’s Post Out Of Malice –Daniel Bwala

A lawyer, Dr Daniel Bwala, has said social media giant, Twitter, deleted a post by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), out of malice but failed to delete the inciting posts of leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

Bwala, who spoke in an exclusive interview with The PUNCH on Wednesday, accused Twitter Chief Executive Officer, Jack Dorsey, of supporting a process that could have led to insurrection in Nigeria since last October during the #EndSARS protest.

The PUNCH had earlier reported that the President, on Tuesday, condemned the attacks on police stations, prisons and offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission, especially in the South-East, warning that those supporting insurrection and violence in the country would be shocked.

Buhari had tweeted, “Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand.”

The President’s tweet riled some persons who felt he was insensitive to have made an analogy of the civil war. His critics subsequently reported the tweet to Twitter and the microblogging site later deleted the post with a comment, “This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules”.

Commenting on the matter, Bwala, a member of the All Progressives Congress, argued that what the President said and what he tweeted was not against the people of the South-East but was in relation to criminal elements involved in the burning of government installations and the killings of uniformed men and private citizens of the country.

He said, “The President did not violate Twitter rules. Twitter deleted Buhari’s tweet out of malice. The founder or owner of Twitter is a known and interested party in Nigeria forgetting that you cannot be a jury and a judge in your own case.

“You will recall during the #EndSARS (protests), Jack Dorsey did not only support the #EndSARS protests but also retweeted the means of contributing to the funds used for the protests.

“That incident cannot be treated in isolation; it has never happened anywhere in the world where the owner of Twitter takes part in the protests of private citizens.

“So, tacitly or obviously, he had indicated expression of dissatisfaction towards the President.”

“Kanu has tweeted what has obviously created crisis that has led to so many loss of lives in Nigeria yet his tweets have not been removed. Do you need any further case to establish that the owner of Twitter is an interested party?” the lawyer asked.

Bwala also urged the Federal Government to launch an official complaint with the United States Congress to invite Twitter CEO to explain his recent role in the activities in Nigeria that are widely regarded as agitation for secession.

Twitter had in January banned former United States President, Donald Trump, for his inciting comments which led to the attack on the US Capitol.

We Are Ready To Give South-East Another War—Northern Senator

The Chairman Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa, has declared that the Nigerian Government will not bow to the demands of those he described as “insurgents” in the South-East.

He asked if they (South-East) wanted to take the same route again.

He warned that the Nigerian government would have no choice but to war in the South-East if the people demanded for it.

According to him, the government will fight the South-Easterners and give them what they went.

Adamu also believes that the killings, kidnappings, banditry and agitations were all prelude to the general elections in 2023, insisting there would not be zoning of the Presidency because it is undemocratic and unconstitutional.

“There are people who feel democracy is not good enough for them and they want to devise their own means of belonging to this entity called Nigeria and if they don’t have their wish, they’ll let Nigeria go to pieces,” he said on Channels Television.

“So is that anything that the constitution allows or encourages? So they’re absolutely outside the realm of the constitution.

“They’re just rebels, arsonists and criminals in short. So, what are we going to consider to even give them a chance to come and say their wish and let Nigeria tremble and bow before them and say ‘okay, we’ve granted you your wish.’

“Those insurgency in the Southeast, they’re all claiming that they want their own country called Biafra right? If that is the case, is it by killing people that they’ll get their country?

“They’ve tried it before; do they want us to go back to the same route? I don’t think so. But if they do, if that’s what they choose, has Nigeria got any choice?

“Will we just allow them, bow and say, ‘we’ll grant you your own wish?’ No. Nigerian government has to stand out, fight them and give them what they want.”

The South-East has been clamouring to be given the opportunity to produce the next President of the country come 2023, but Senator Bulkachuwa pointed out that politics is a game of number.

He added that political parties should be allowed to present the right candidates from any zone for Nigerians to pick from.

“I believe these banditry, kidnappings, agitations and killings are all prelude to the 2023 election,” he added.

“I don’t even believe in zoning. I believe the right candidates should be fielded by all the parties and then let Nigerians choose from the best among them.

“And those who have the number, who believe the same candidates will obviously win. Unless you don’t want that which is against the norms of democracy, then, I don’t know, you can devise your own means.

“I don’t believe zoning is democratic. I don’t believe zoning will produce the best president for this country.”
