Lai Mohammed Stole N100 Million Sent To Me By Igbo Businessman For Election – Kwara Governor.

Information minister Lai Mohammed has been accused of being a thief after allegedly cornering hundreds of millions of naira donated to the governorship campaign of AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

“The Chief of Staff to the Kaduna State Governor called and said Lai gave us an account but it’s not going through, “can you give us another account so we can send you the money?” But I was going to campaign so I said fine.

“I came back two days later and remembered, and I said they should call him and give him an account number. When we called, he said Lai had sorted it out. That one and several. Until today, as we speak, he never told anybody that he collected money.

“There’s a businessman from the South-east. His banker came to me and said his Oga wants to speak with me. I spoke with him and he said he was sending money to me. I said, thank you very much. After the election, he called me to congratulate me.

“When he saw I was just saying ‘thank you’, then he asked if Lai didn’t deliver the money, I asked him what money? He said N100 million,” Mr AbdulRazaq told ThisDay in an interview out on Sunday.

The governor said the unnamed Igbo businessman later called to congratulate him and also mentioned the donation, but he was unable to confirm receipt. The governor said Mr Mohammed has failed to account for hundreds of millions donated he intercepted and pocketed in the course of the campaign.

The Unity Of Nigeria Is Nehotiable- Babagana Kingibe

Babagana Kingibe, a former secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), says the unity of Nigeria is negotiable.

Kingibe, Nigeria’s envoy to Chad and the Lake Chad basin region, spoke on Saturday at The Sun Newspaper awards for 2020 in Lagos, according to a report by Thisday.

Using the relationship between couples as an example, he explained that once a party is trying to opt out of a union, he/she must consider the pros and cons of his/her choice before making a final decision.

“I was born in Nigeria. I was groomed in Nigeria. I believe in Nigeria. People of my generation believe in Nigeria. We have no doubt about the fact that we have no option, but Nigeria,” Thisday quoted him as saying.

“However, I think that a few of my colleagues believe that the unity of Nigeria is not negotiable. Of course, it is negotiable. Even the unity of a family is negotiable. Even the constitution of husband and wife is negotiable.

“The moment either party feels this union is no longer bearable, that he or she will rather go his/her way. You help them to sit down, consider their condition after a careful and rational examination of the pros and cons of how to be married that they make the decision which suits them best.

“It is not enough to say I do not fare well where I am. So, I am going.”

Kingibe said those seeking secession from Nigeria should consider the implications of leaving and how it would affect them.

He added that they should have it at the back of their minds that they would still be on Nigeria’s land, even if they got their wish.

No Sit-At-Home On Monday And Tuesday – IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has denied claims ordering a to sit-at-home order across the Southeast region on October 18, 19, and 21 for its leader, and one year anniversary of #EndSARS protest.

In a statement released by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, IPOB warned those behind the rumour to retrace their steps and stop tarnishing its image. The group said it did not issue any sit-at-home directive except on October 21 when its leader was expected to appear in court.

The statement in part reads

“Our attention has been drawn to the fabricated statement being circulated by mischief makers and paid agents of darkness that IPOB had directed Biafrans to sit-at-home Monday, October 18; Tuesday, October 19; and Thursday, October 21 for our leader, and One year anniversary of#EndSARS protest.

We want to make it categorically clear that the above purported statement did not emanate from IPOB, and we completely dissociate with such falsehood. IPOB did not issue any sit-at-home except on October 21 when our leader is expected to appear in court.

We, therefore, urge members of the public to ignore the purported statement and utter falsehood being peddled by paid agents of the government to create confusion and demarket IPOB. Their intension is to portray IPOB as a violent and insensitive movement but we know their antics, and shall beat them to it.

The Pastor Who Invited Me To Preach In His Church, Kidnapped Me || Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai

I was invited by a church in Aba. We went. They took me to their bedroom and kept my wife in their parlour. And they asked me to bring every money on me and the key to my car.

So, I told the pastor of the church; so you invited a guess speaker, locked him up, collect his money and the key to his car. I will give you the key when I hear God say surrender the key and the money to them and I will give it to you. But for now, I will not.

They said no problem. We’ll give you a cup to drink from and you will hear God tell you to give us the key to your car and the money on you.

I said, “sure, bring the liquid(poison), let me drink”. They brought me a liquid and I said to the liquid, ”thou liquid(poison), I drink you as tea and you must function as tea. If you go beyond the boundaries of tea, whatever God is going to do to you, don’t call my name”.

I raised the cup up and said, “thou cup, you are now tea..”

I watched them till it got to midnight. I said to them, “it’s now my turn to demonstrate the power of the kingdom I represent. You have given me something and I have taken it.

They ran to my wife; madam… come come come, oga is angry, he wants to kill us.

My wife walked over to where I was and said, “you like trouble. They have open that gate, let us go”.

Madam..who is causing trouble? Me or they? I came to preach for them, they lock me up, they want money, they want key. Who is the one breaking the law? Me or these people? She said, “na u sabi”.

And they began to beg me…. I like when my enemy beg me for their life to be spared.

How many of you believe that you can drink poison and it will not kill you?

Sawo-olu Commissions 100 Housing Project Unit In Lekki, Names A Block Ln LSDPC Building To Honour A Deceased Civil Servant

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday commissioned Bayview Estate; a 100-unit housing project in Ikate-Elegushi, Lekki area of the State.

The 100-unit housing project made up of 68 terraces of four bedrooms and 32 flats of three bedrooms built on a total land area of 23,000sqm, is a joint venture project between the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC) and Misa Ltd.

Speaking during the commissioning of the project, which was initiated during his tenure as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC), Governor Sanwo-Olu said his government is building for the upper-middle market and middle market, as well as the medium to low earners.

”We are in a dynamic environment and we will continue to work with our private sector developers. There are so many other private sector schemes that we are jointly working with the Organised Private Sector to be able to have houses that are affordable and accessible to our citizens.

”We have promised our citizens and people that we will meet their housing needs. We have done 11 housing estates in over two and a half years that we came to government, and we still have a lot more that we are pushing,” the governor said.

Governor Sanwo-Olu during the event named a block of the LSDPC building after a GL-15 staff, the late Wakilu Hamzat, who died in the early hours of Wednesday, October 13, few hours before the inauguration of the Bayview Estate.

The Governor also announced State Government scholarships for the children of the deceased.

He said: “We name Block C in honour of Engr Wakilu Hamzat. I enjoin our engineers to specially paint the block and we will be able to acknowledge his great work.

“Wakilu was somebody I knew personally. He will be greatly missed; but we thank God for his life. He has put in not less than 25 years in the service. The government will sponsor the education of his children through a scholarship,” Governor Sanwo-Olu promised.

Speaking earlier, Lagos State Commissioner for Housing, Mr. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, in his remarks, said the State Government will not only bring solutions to the issue of housing deficit but would also revitalise the economy.

He said: “In completing more homes, we are re-echoing and underscoring a resolve not only to bring solutions to the housing deficit, but also to revitalise the economy, improve our total environment and increase the sense of wellbeing of the people.

“In line with the transformational agenda of this administration, the state has continued to charge forward in addressing the issues that are germane to the wellbeing of the citizenry. Construction works at the various sites of housing schemes have resulted in economic vibrancy for both skilled workers and artisans through creation of direct and indirect employment.

“The local economies of the project areas have also been greatly revitalised with increased commercial activities from both the supply and demand angle of housing development. We will spare no efforts in ensuring that no housing scheme is left uncompleted. With the support and cooperation of everyone, the dream of a Greater Lagos will emerge fully even in our time.”

Also speaking, the Managing Director of LSDPC, Mr. Dhikrullah Har-Yusuph, said the estate is ready for habitation without any fear of flooding.

”This land was marshy, swampy lowland that is typical of the terrain in this vicinity. To this end, I would like to acknowledge the massive investment committed by our partner, Messrs. Misa Ltd into the sub-structural element of the estate. Today, we have an estate ready for habitation without any fear of flooding, despite the terrain,” he said.

Despite The Payment of 20million Randsom, Emir Of Bungudu, Hassan Attahiru Still With Bandits

Almost a month after he was kidnapped by gunmen along Kaduna-Abuja Expressway, the Emir of Bungudu in Zamfara State, Alhaji Hassan Attahiru, remains with his abductors even after the payment of N20 million ransom.

The emir was abducted when bandits waylaid a convoy of vehicles he was travelling in from Kaduna to Abuja on September 14.

He was said to be on his way to join Zamfara government’s delegation to the UN General Assembly in the United States.

Confirming the incident at the time, the Kaduna State police command said unspecified number of commuters were abducted along with the monarch in the daylight attack which occurred around Dutse village on the highway.

Daily Trust gathered that the abduction was carried out by gunmen loyal to banditry kingpin Boderi Isiya, operating from Riyawa, Buruku and Sabon Birni forests in Kaduna State.

A source familiar with the case said the bandits’ kingpin had shifted the goalpost after agreeing to release the emir upon payment of agreed ransom.
