Nehemiah 8:10
10: Then he said to them, ‘Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength”
We have to really believe God has the power to fulfil our needs. We have to really believe that God loves us and wants the best for us. We have to really believe that God listens to His children when they cry out to Him. When we have all these things, prayer ceases to be a chore and becomes a joy.
Joy-giver who created joy, defines joy, is joy, meets me in my sadness and discouragement, and comforts me with your presence. Help me see what’s good in my life and in the world. Lead me to gratitude for all your good gifts. AMEN.
